Journey in Imagination
The revised pavilion uses concepts from both incarnations of the ride but take the most inspiration from the classic Epcot Center ride Journey Into Imagination. To contrast the bright colors on the inside the outside is painted with a plain light purple. The pavilions sign is just a simple lowercase i with horns on the dot. The entrance area is rid of banners and the queue has been altered majorly. The staircase and foyer are opened back up and a restored to their former glory with the return of the mural from the original incarnation.
The queue makes its way around the spiral staircase and into the former image works area. Scattered throughout the queue are interactive exhibits quite like the post show to the original to spark the imagination. Among them is the return of the rainbow tunnel which serves as a transition from the futurist world of EPCOT to the magical realm of imagination. The boarding area is just beyond the tunnel the old ride vehicles are reused but equipped with a small steampunk gun attached. The rest of the vehicle is painted a bronze to match the gun.
The ride begins heading towards the first scene long time guest will be quick to recognize the familiar melody coming from the scene ahead. The group of 3 cars turns and faces the Dream Catcher, Dreamfinder and Figment’s Zeppelin.
“Imagination, imagination, a dream, a dream, a dream come true, just one spark lights up for you. Ah hello there I'm the Dreamfinder, and you're here because I need your help, ideas are sparking into the real world faster than ever and to keep up I need you to shoot the targets with your imaginatoray to spark ideas in the world real world.”
“Here's your first one,” says Figment as he flies around, “but you gotta hit me first.”
“Good luck Dream finders.”
“Oh can we go too,” says Figment.
“Of course Figment.”
They begin to sing again as your car leaves the scene and enters a magical forest. Among the exotic plants are mythical animals from unicorns to fairies and the flying dog from the Figment comics. All the creatures have targets on them much like the on Figment. Speaking of the dragon he’s painting a tree while Dreamfinder paints the wings of a giant butterfly.
The forest turns dark as we enter the nightmare realm. Monsters populate the darkness a spider and it's web hold figment hostage. A dragon breaths fire down at us. The best part every monster is an audio animatronic figure with a large range of motion.
We leave the forest and head towards the stars we past the moon and head towards a far away planet in a small space suit is figment hitchhiking on an Asteroid. The car turns into a futuristic lab inside dreamfinder is working with beakers and a weird colored liquid. Robots operates each equipment and Figment accidentally clones himself.
The next scene shows an orchestra of Figments playing One little Spark as the normal Figment conducts them. We enter Figments house and the scene is the same as it is today. The final scene goes as follows.
“Figment how did they do,”
Pretty great Dreamfinder but it could be better,”
“You know what to do,”
“Bonus Round!”
The screens blast up and the scene is what it is today but continues into the next room.
The guests exit into a gift shop and have the option to go up stairs to a Figment a Dreamfinder meet and greet. There is also a rest area and observation deck which looks down into the ride.
The Timekeeper a tribute to Robin Williams
A brand new show replaces the Disney Pixar short film festival. The show based on the Magic Kingdom show of the same name uses state of the art Falcon's treehouse Circu Motion Theater this will be a show no one will want to miss. Guest shall make their way thru a short queue to the pre show. The pre introduces us to the timekeeper and the new character Cyclops a one eyed robot that shall time travel back in time much like nine eyes did. Cyclops will be played by John Goodman. Once the pre-show is finished guests shall continue into one of two theaters.
The theater will be customized just for the show in the center is a large platform in which our guide the timekeeper shall sit. The most interesting part is the randomization of the show much like Star Tours in which you can meet one of the many visionaries like Jules Verne, H.G Wells, Thomas Edison, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein, and Walt Disney. We jump around time to see how what they did changed our lives in the present. The timekeeper will not be re cast instead dialogue from the original show and other movies Robin Williams worked on will be used to make up the show. Both theaters exit out to the jumping water not complete with the figment topiary currently behind Spaceship Earth.
