I'm not sure if you guys already know this, but at the large shop at Downtown Disney at WDW, you can get yourself a 5 pack DVD set containing DVD's of, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disneyland for $79.95. The DVD's on their own are $19.95 so are cheaper to get in the set. I managed to get it on holiday after looking for months on the internet beforehand.

Good Luck!

Nope.....definately not, it says that it allows you to go on rides, without going on it, if you know what i mean!

I've heard that those 5 DVDs aren't worth the money.

I too have heard that, also that your better off just watching movies people made.

But than again, those dvds are much better than home movies. Most likey.

They aren't.

We bought ours June last year, and I've only viewed 2 out of the whole box set. It was disappointing. They might as well use it as a Disney commercial. It's that shallow.

If you expect "promotional" stuff, then by all means, you won't be disappointed. But if you expect more in-depth look at the 4-parks and the Happiest Celebration on Earth, then these DVD's are not the ones to get.

Good to know. I've been considering picking these up ever since my last trip last January. I just couldn't bring myself to shell out 80 bucks. If the Magic Kingdom one is worth it, I could pay 20 much better.

And even the MK one is rather mediocre. It is good though special feature wise and for some of the visuals. But the bad stuff is the cheap usage of footage not even from the frickin' park (I'm looking at you, Mansion segment with Manor footage) as well as audio not from the rides but in their stead, awful soundalikes. Using characters living their lives in the parks can be a good thing, look at the old early 90's Day at Disneyland video, but it doesn't work as much here when you have Goofy getting really excited just standing around the ride rather then actually getting on like he did on Thunder Mountain in the old Disneyland tape.

Ditto on the DVDs...I bought MGM and MK....MK was FANTASTIC!! It's perfect to show to people who haven't been, or who might never go. They'll get the gist of it, and it's really cute. MGMs was one of the most annoying things I've ever watched...I can't even explain the charaters who "narrarated" it. They blew. And that's putting it nicely:) . But if you like the promo videos, grab the MK one - I liked it:animwink:

I don't get it, why do they use sound-alikes instead of real ride audio?! Hello Disney, its not like you'll get in trouble for pirateing yourself! I just don't get it.... And the soundalikes are so crappy too.

I've always been intrigued by those DVD's, but never enough to actually buy them. If I'm really desperate for a WDW fix, I'll settle for a promotional DVD I already have or Boy Meets World: Season Three - Episode "Happiest Show on Earth"...

I agree... we bought ours on our honeymoon... we thought it would be a nice keepsake, but they were terrible. Now when I look at them, I don't think of my honeymoon, I think "what else could I have wasted 80 bucks on?"
