Walt Disney World 20 Years Gone

Just came back myself. I rode the same monorail 20 years from now, and sadly, it was not like a museum piece but the actual monorail. They got rid of the fixins bars so no more free salads, and no more free sauerkraut and cheese lunches. They also had free refills now at Magic Kingdom. I regret to say though but the BAH is still there. COP also had the 1994 ending.

Didn't you notice the second BAH where the Muppetvision theatre was located?

I don't foresee that happening unless they have a fire or something that destroys it. OR if the trending that is happening now continues and they close the entire park. If they do that along with DHS they will have all kinds of space to add more DVC's.
I'm sorry I confused the abbreviations for Stitch's Great Escape and Spaceship Earth. My bad. I meant to say I think SGE will be closed. I just don't see Stitch as a very lasting movie.

First of all, great topic for discussion.

Let's see in 20 years, I hope to be working for Disney. So it will be a wonderful place:p Just kiddin'.

I hope we have a fifth gate, if not a sixth gate by then. Possibly more DVC resorts and a few more value resorts. Maybe an additional water park as well. They will have gotten rid of that dumb thing in NFL with Belle and will have put in an actual attraction. All of the parks will get at least one additional e-ticket ride, hopefully more. And Star Wars Land will have become a classic in DHS:D

As for DL, they have land out there, so I assume it will have a third gate. It would depend out there on land space and what they would be able to acquire.

And Aulani will have sister hotels on Maui, Kaua'i, the Big Island, and Puerto Rico.:D
When gambling is legalized in Florida by then Disney will probably have a casino/resort on property. It's all about the money and there will be tons to have. I'm not rooting for this but its just my thought its inevitable
No, I don't think so, because of this:

Nah, it'll be closed because it won't be a very lasting ride. Or a very good one. Actually, it was never a very good one...

I think we have better odds of seeing a third gate in Disneyland and Disneyland Tokyo before we see a fifth gate in Orlando. There is to much work to due in the World to get the 3 secondary parts up to par to the Magic Kingdom. (Though I will no complain about a third gate in Tokyo because it will be a blank check park that will once again showcase how absolutely amazing Disney Imagineers are. DisneySea $4.5 billion dollar park of beauty!)

I think new attractions will include Avatarland, Star Wars land in DHS, some new Pixar themed ride. Hard to predict new attractions that far in the future.

I think SSE will be gone, but I'm not really sure what else.

Parks will have been sold off to a developer. Meanwhile UNI keeps building attractions

I don't believe that we will ever see the Parks fully leave Disney's hand. I think we will see Disney do what is done in Disneyland Tokyo where Disney has creative control over the park but its owned by say The Oriental Land Company. Though I would be happier with the management of the Oriental Land Company.

We are talking 20 years down the line here. They've managed to get DCA up to par in a few short years. I think it's safe to say the WDW parks can be enhanced. It's a matter of getting the right people to enhance the current parks, in other words, the people who did DCA.

Also, have you been to Disneyland? Because that should be the standard for the parks, not MK

I wasn't stating that MK should be the Standard for the parks, but they should at least be the standards for Epcot, Hollywood, I am partial to say Animal but find it hard because its an absolutely beautiful park that I could spend day s walking around. Once you get to that point you then make MK to the quality of Disneyland.

Also I wasn't arguing against your hope that there is a fifth gate, Heck I hope there is. If and only if the rest of the park gets on par.

Note on DCA. It took 5 years to bring DCA to par, unless TDO is willing to do multiple park overhauls at the same time your looking at 15 years to fix up the 3 parks.

But to be honest I don't think Disneyland hits the standards that Disney Tokyo parks touch. I am taken away by the Tokyo parks and while Disneyland takes my breath away, its not the same.

I worry that the parks division will eventually be sold.

I don't believe we will see the completely sold. As I stated earlier I wouldn't be surprised if we saw anything it would be something like the Oriental Land Company buying the parks and paying royalties but Disney maintains most of the Creative Control.

In 10 years Disney World will hit rock bottom and fall apart in its own greed, then once it gets out of hand they will be forced to make a change in management and make improvements to save the parks. They will be forced to cut back and lower prices. The next 10 years will be revolved around making dramatic. Hanged in administration, management, and they will have to invest in millions on improvements, repairs, additions, new shows and anything they can do to gain back their customers and redeem the Disney World name. If that is the case the parks will be totally restored to their origional glory but probably allot different. And from there they will keep it up for 25 years then head for the same mess there in today.

Hard to look that far ahead. I'll be over 50 by 2033! Anyways, I think after Avatar, Disney will end up making a new land at HS. I'm thinking maybe like Star Wars Land or expanding Pixar Place, since it's not really a land with one ride and one meet n greet. I think SoA will be gone, along with Indiana Jones, American Idol, BATB, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I think HS will end up getting an overhaul by 2033 and get some new rides and less shows. In Epcot I think WS will be gone. It just isn't as popular as it once was, and it gets boring after walking through it so many times. I can also see EEE, Captain EO, JII, and MS gone. The MK will stay pretty much stay the same I think, maybe just a couple rides in Tomorrowland or Adventureland and a new ride in Liberty Square. AK needs to get more rides, and I don't think Disney will be giving AK that much in the future. I think it'll get a couple shows and maybe one more ride after Avatarland, but other than that, I don't see much. This is all just my opinion, so not hate, this is just how I see the parks in 20 years!:)
