* Technically St. Augustine, FL is the oldest settlement (by the Spanish) - they also have a haunted fort:bookworm:

No what I mean by that is, the mountains are thousands of feet tall, and a replica would feel like a knock off...what we could do is have a national park inspired land...keeping it as authentic as possible, but not trying to replicate them exactly.

Interesting... I think maybe forced perspective could work to our benefit.

There's a concept with guests looking at a watering hole in Epcot's old Africa pavilion idea.... I may pull that out.. It could work.

I've always wanted to have a Grand Canyon River Expedition :D

And forced perspective is why I like Arches because I think that could be used really well! The mystique of stuff like Zion and Yosemite is the size, so forced perspective may take some of that away. We need national parks that we can take inspiration from! And then use forced perspective to make it work
