Man Disney is getting to weird for me
Here's hoping last scene will be a complete redo, maybe akin to the tone of TT3.0 ("what's right around the corner")! The 1900's, '20, '40s need comparatively little attention imo, but I'm mostly waiting to leave the building during the 1993 scene....feels so dry nearly 32 years in.Will they at least update and refresh the last scene as part of this? Or we still using the scene from the early 90s
Honestly, once all of the currently announced things wrap, most of the WDW parks will be in the best shape we’ve seen in quite a while, with the notable exception of EPCOT.
Exactly. I feel they still over-rely on the festivals for attendance. Moana seems pleasant and I'm thrilled they got rid of the barges, but if they "cut their losses" & replace "Communicore Hall" with the Festival Center they originally planned, do something with the eyesore that the Wonders of Life Building has become, & bring Imagination (at least) to a pre-1999 glory...that'd be pretty nice!Which is crazy when you think about how much time and money they spent on it in recent years
Not the answer, IMO. Aesthetically better but functionally even worse. They need to use the space for something meaningful, which neither plan captured.… but if they "cut their losses" & replace "Communicore Hall" with the Festival Center they originally planned …
I concede that...as long as better than what they have now. Fountain of Nations would also be a welcomed return! Not the answer, IMO. Aesthetically better but functionally even worse. They need to use the space for something meaningful, which neither plan captured.
I'm glad it never left Florida. Unlike Disneyland--where Walt frequently walked through, and was personally involved in creating, many paths, many buildings, many attractions--CoP is the only completed part of Walt Disney World that Walt was ever "at." Although there were many changes thru the decades (some big some small), parts of the attraction remain original. While on the topic, I feel like I should mention.. I’d read about something not too long ago, can’t remember where, but apparently, back in the early 80s or so, there had been a proposal to bring a Carousel of Progress show back to Disneyland called the “Century of Progress”, but apparently the plans got canned once Eisner came in ‘84, Wish I could find/read/hear more details about what that show was like.

Took a closer look at the concept art. To the far right is Rolly Crump's model of the Tower of the Four Winds. I remember when they had the original model on display at the most heavily-trafficked area of the Contemporary Resort (by the monorail escalators). It was really impressive. I understood why Rolly wasn't happy with the final product as built in the World's Fair (as described in his first autobiography). I can't help but wonder if they'll use the original model for the CoP or make a duplicate to "play it safe."![]()

I can appreciate this take.Man Disney is getting to weird for me
Stitch needs an attraction like Inside Out does. It’s just a matter of time.I’ve heard of some movement on Stitch but we will see.

But epcot just got a new three-level festival center, new china film, mary Poppins land, new version of spaceship earth, play Pavillion, and an immersive central hub with entertainment and story trees and fountains.most of the WDW parks will be in the best shape we’ve seen in quite a while, with the notable exception of EPCOT. .
