Maybe Donald Sutherland wil be in that BTMR TV show

I don't think this is true (just a hunch), but on the far chance that it was true, it would be a horrible idea. This ride has lasted 30+ years as-is, and while I have no problem with adding story to it, tying it to an actor/tv show in too many ways is a great way to kill its timelessness and remind people of a (likely to be) failed tv show.

Dinosaur, anyone?

1980 is vintage? Damn I'm Old!

To be fair, the start time for this "vintage" is 1971, so I guess something happening 9 years after that could be considered vintage now that we now at 41 years after that (over 3/4 of the time period has happened after 1980 than before).

It's Tony Baxter , as Mr. Ravenswood from Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris.

According to Legend ( imagineering ) , Henry Ravenswood was an industrial baron who owned the Thunder Mesa Mining Company. He was married, and had a daughter named Melanie. But the gold ran out, and his luck with it.A great earthquake struck Thunder Mesa in 1860, during melanies wedding preperatons. Henry and his wife perished in the quake, and there daughter was never seen again. As for her fiance, he was found hanged in the Ravenswood Manor- by accident, or by fathers own doing? The boomtown that sprung up from the BTMRR created Frontireland - better known as "The Western River Expedition".

LOL. The info is located inside Disneyland Paris : From Sketch to Reality. And in Jason Surell's book - The Haunted Mansion : from the Magic Kingdom to the Movies.

So, based on the Ravenswood idea, lets see here if we can start a panic.

They are demolishing the Haunted Mansion and replacing it with Phantom Manor?

That's Tony Baxter and it probably ties into a major overhaul of Big Thunder Mountain since it's getting a big push by Disney for a new TV show

I thought Donald Sutherland immediately. Wasn't sure where it fits in.
I thought of King Midas w/ the gold thing, but I know that's wrong. Why would BTMRR need something new? It just got a major refurb! Hopefully it's something new for somewhere. I don't care. Anything new is good. Sorry to see that it doesn't fit in w/ Avatarland or Carsland.:(

Phantom manor is pretty cool, but I can imagine the screaming children crying while their mothers look for someone to complain to...

No no no people, you are all waaaay off. Read the clue, obsession with gold will lead him to ruin. He is obviously going in the POTC ride. He will be travelling to the Isle de la Muerta and find Aztec gold. From there, he will spend it on wine, food, and pleasureable company. He'll then have a long journey to return the pirate gold but won't. See, that's where the gold and ruin come in. Is anyone not seeing this????

Demolishing Liberty Square, expanding Frontierland with Discovery Bay and moving HoP, Liberty Tree Tavern and Diamond Horseshoe over to The American Adventure!

I love when they make a portrait based on an imagineer or someone. It's a very cool inside thing that we Disney fans can find and enjoy. I love that there are so many levels to the things in the park and so many things that that the average casual gusts might miss but repeat visitors pick up on. The Disney magic has so many different levels and tiers. I love it!
