I have an idea for a new Disney park called "Walt Disney Country". It would be located in the Mid-West of the USA. It would be made up of six parks, six hotels (to start with), two water parks, and one Downtow Disney. The six parks would be E.P.C.O.T, Disney Studios, Animal Kingdom, World Showcase, Magic Kingdom, and Walt Disney's Sports City. The six hotels would be Disney's All-Stars (Music, Movies, & Sports), Disney's Jamaican Island, Disney's Aztec, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Port Orleans, and Disney's Dixie Landings. The two water parks would be Hurricane Bay and Rover Country. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!:sohappy: :D

no offence but i really don't like it. Where is your originality, I understand Magic Kingdom being there but you are cloning everthing, even the waterparks Hurricane Harbor is a trademark of Six Flags. People won't come to this park if it is the same as orlando they will probally decide going to orlando. The only thing that is original is Disney Aztec. That sounds pretty cool. Sports City sounds really gay, let me see some new ideas. Sorry if I am being mean.

There are many things wrong with your concept. I'll only focous on what already hasn't been touched on, and that is the hotels.

I don't know if you realize this but the WDW you see today took 30 years to build. Phase one only included two hotels the contempoary and the Polynesian, the golf resort came two years later. and the poly also added two longhouses in the 80s Anyway my point is that they could never start with 6 hotels they would not fill them, they could build two of them untill they knew how popular the property was. If it took off they could add them later like WDW did in phase two. Plus how many acares is this property going to be. What is the size of each of there hotels(numbers of rooms), it may sound wonderful on papre but in practacality and financialy it wouldn't work.

Where in the mid-west would you plan on putting this? Building something of that sort would take MASSIVE investment bucks and I highly doubt family vacationers have kentucky or iowa or some such place as high on thier list of vacation spots in the winter. With such a huge investment the park would need to be somewhere that would draw year round traffic for OUTDOOR activity....and outside of florida (WDW) and california (DL) I can't think of too many other places in this country where that's the case.

If you can't handle negative opinions or constructive criticism then don't post anything or ask for people's comments.

wannabe walt you can't get mad you told us to tell you do we like it or hate it, you can't complain about our opinions. This was juist not disney material. It was just a WDW with sports city, and a world showcase split from epcot. I think if you use your own ideas people will start to respect you on these boards.

Geez, guys. Its not like hes gonna actually go and try to make this happen. I for one would like to see Disney WOrld in Missouri. AND there is plenty of land available around these parts.

So lets not be so hard on him. Geez.

Keep the ideas comin', Wannabee!:)

Maybe instead of the midwest, it could be in the southwest? The weather might be somewhat better...at least as far as snow goes! ;)

And isn't there a bit of duplication in all of the parks? But I like the Aztec theme...it would tie in with the southwest. But I agree, the park needs some sort of "hook" that will make it completely different from the others!

I'm afraid if you are posting ideas here (in imagineering) you're going to get lots of opposing opinions. I've watched other guys...they just go back to the drawing board, then post their changes..again, and again, and again. ;)

Thanx!

Thanks Main Street USA for your help! I really respect people like you! Anyway! If Walt Disney Country would go in the South-West part of the USA then it would be WAY to close to Disneyland. Maybe it could go in Kansas or in the New England part of the USA. Such as New Jersey or New Hampsheir. I have decided what to add and take out. E.P.C.O.T would be taken out and replaced with MISSION: CHRIST (a park about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit), Animal Kingdom would be taken out and replaced with Horizons: A New View (a park about Education, it would be made up of many different sections each being about a different school subject EX:Science). If you think anyother changes need to be made, please tell me!

If you put it in the Southwest you have a problem with Siphing off guests from DL for this new park. depending where you put it isn't that far to california. Alberqurque is only 14 hours and Phoenix is only 71/2 hours. There isn't lickly that there would be enough attendance number to make the park profitable

Your attendance level wouldnt be so high. Alot of people have diffrent religions.. Although they all revolve around their god. I still think thats a bad idea. I seriously think Walt wouldnt make a park like that. Sorry again:(..

No Wait.. Im gonna help..

Ok how about making a park about cultures or countrys.. Like world showcase. That would be cool.. Eh I cant think of a replacement..

Im not stoping you from doing anything. Just trying to be logical. Hey can you tell me more about the park to convince me?:)

EDIT--

"MISSION: CHRIST " Wow how original lol. Umm.. Holy Land sounds better.:)

First geographicaly Disney wants their resorts to be opend al year round, so New England would be out, Kansas would be okay but I think you can find a more central southern area with lot's of space, infact they say everything comes bigger from that state(hint, hint).

Mission: Christ, ummmmmm well you know they say there are tow things that should never be disccused amongst freinds and they are religion and polotics, I think the same goes for theme parks. One a global company would never want to pick one religion and openly premote it fearing of truning away other religions to all their products; and second many people who are christian would probably be very offended by a "theme park" representing their religion, a religion is not ussually viewed as topic for "leisure entertainment venue". Now I am not trying to be "bossy" and don't let this make you go off on another rant, but personally I think this is a terrible idea; but that is just my opinion you can go ahead and do what ever you want.

Then Horizions: A New View well first I would have to ask what is with the Colinated names, these really aren't typical of a theme park, and more of a ride itself in fact this sounds more like a seuqal to the ride horizons. why not just call the park simply Horizons or Horizons City, make it sound like a place not and event. Also with out a few exceptions I really do not see how this park would be all that different from EPCOT and those dieffernces that woudl exsist I fear woudl not be too enteritaining, most people want to leave school to go to Disney they don not want to leave school and go to antother themepark about school.

I realize that this post was mostly criticisim but it was all constructive, and I am not going to "tell you what to do" cause that is your job. Go back to the drawing board, everyone around here does it countless times before they come up with somethign that everyone likes, just keep working at it.

hey wanabee walt being a strong catholic I would love to see a park centered on Jesus but the public won't like it. It will be very contriversal. Great idea I have always thought of a park centered on bible stories, but the park will be to contriversal. I am not dissing your idea I think its great, but Disney would never build anything like it

Last time I looked, Texas was in the Southwest. ;)

(My southwest idea was shot down as being too close to DL) And Dallas is almost equidistant between WDW and DL...or at least almost the same distance from either as Kansas.

As noted, it can't be built too far north, or would have to be seasonal. East Coast...too close to WDW; West Coast...too close to DL.

There is a "theme" park in Orlando based on the bible. It's only been open a couple of years (at most) but it might be interesting to see how it's doing. I'll try asking in "Other" attractions.

If it is in Texas, perhaps there might be a Native American area? Maybe Navajo Tribal dancers on stage? Even some themed rides (Geronimo's Revenge...sorry) as long as they are handled respectfully. Maybe something from all of the various tribes from different areas.
