I used to tease him thet it was like the Flintstone's Grang Poo Pah Lodge,, and they all wore hats made of buffalo that had horns atop them! ( needless to say, he dumped me):lookaroun

There was book published in 1984 called the brotherhood and its very intresting the author was called stephen knight who was died of a brain tumor 9 mounths later( i dont believe this). But he talked about the initiation ceremony. u are on ur knees with ur knees with a rope around ur neck while a sword is pointed at ur heart and u have to quote out of some book. There is a reason to say that they created the pyrimds the last piece of evidence i found dated back to 300 b.c and it was an account of a ritual cult killing(buts thats another story) they are said to rule the most of the world. They are meant to hold up the christain way of life. they are manily doctors , politcal leaders and people who have made a name for them selves but there are few that make it in on other grounds. If any of you have seen the movie "from hell" it was a mason that carried out the jack ripper killings but over the past while it was said to be 3 people.

This subject is something that i take very serioulsy not all mason are killers or would kill but there are certain events in time that are very weird like people who die of cancer or die in operating rooms after they have spoke against the masons.

there was another book published in 1990 and the author was told by a doctor that if he ever had to have an operation go aboard because he could die while going under the knife.

ki wrote an article ina local paper here in the uk about thme and i recievd and very angry letter.

It seems like a good thing to get involved with, but i am very leery of anything where ya have to go thru a secret ritual to belong to. it seems like a cult of some sorts...maybe good maybe bad, dont know enough about it....

My father is a 33rd degree Mason (the highest level) and then went on to be a Shriner. While I don't know if Walt Disney was a free mason or not (I'll research that a bit), it's pretty safe to say that Masonry is a good thing. Their secret (non-public) rituals and oaths of service to God and their fellow man are not indicative of "cult" status. My dad has always been a shining example of a responsible father and now grandfather. I couldn't have asked for a better dad. His life values are indicative of his parent's values which was further reenforced by his participation in Masonry.

Having read much about Walt Disney, it would not surprise me if he had been a Mason.

If anyone's interested a good website is: http://www.gwmemorial.org/

Well, of course, be guided by your own thinking. The non-public nature of a Mason's service is in keeping with two thoughts:

Character is how you act when you know you're not being observed and a self-less good deed is done without public acknowledgement or thought of personal reward or gain. Doing good in a private, personal way, is a hallmark of Masonry.

I've often challenged my daughter to do a good deed each day...one which is not a public act and done without any reward other than the personal satisfaction at doing something good for someone else. Interestingly enough, as she is 19 now, it's interesting to hear her quote that to others her age and equally surprising at their agreement to that principle.

There is still good in the world...you just have to find and nourish it in each of us.
