since the official downloadable program @ pixarweekend.com doesn't say anything about it, i'm guessing it was too difficult to pull off logistically. (the 700 lb. animatronics were never able to meet and greet fans during their tour of science museums in 2008, due to safety concerns; even assuming they'd fence off the roll-in and roll-out and park it for the sake of pictures, it still seems like it would be a tough amount of crowd management.)
and i'd imagine the roped-off area for entrances and exits of an animatronic of that size would be obvious whether he was out at the moment or not.
so (heavy, heavy sigh) this is probably not happening.
BUT, has anybody actually been to mission:space today to confirm one way or another?
i'm arriving @ MCO at 8:30 am tomorrow morning, and the path i take out of the airport will be significantly different if i know whether there's actually an animatronic wall-e on site. (no: casually drive to the hotel, check in, maybe take a nap, head over to epcot eventually. yes: drive DIRECTLY TO EPCOT.)
EDIT: apparently my plan B is to head directly for star tours... :sohappy:
