Walkway from BCV to BC?

Does anyone know if there are covered walkways from the Beach Club Villas to the Beach Club? With all this rain I was thinking about that issue for our upcoming trip. Will we get wet walking to Cape May if it is raining or are they connected inside and out? It is our first time at the villas although we have been to the beach club many times. Anyone know much about the villas?

Welcome to the Beach Club Villas my FAVORITE place to stay at WDW. When you were at the BC, did you ever explore and find the Ariel statue? thats the entrance to the Villas. The walkway is covered for the most part. There is a gap, however, of about 5 feet give or take a little to totally seperate the buildings. You can walk comfortably from the villas...a quick run across the opeing if its raining hard, and then walk normal again.
If you have any other questions feel free to contact me.

Thanks for the info Dave! I do have a couple of more questions. When were there we simply just noticed the location of the villas due to the change in exterier color. It does seem awfully far from the pool and soo close to the Epcot. What is the best way to the pool? Is there a short cut? What about to the walkway to Epcot? It seems like we used the main back entrance or beach facing entrance for everything at the beach club. I am sure that is not the exit we would take for everything at the villas right? I guess there is a separate walkway to the villas coming back from Epcot? We are excited to have more room! We have talked about buying DVC many many times. We are curious to see if this will finally get us to pull the trigger!

There is a walkway behind the main Beach Club building that leads you to the walkway to Epcot. After leaving the main entrance of the Villa's, take the first left, then right and follow all the way out. This will save you having to walk through the main lobby on you way to Epcot.
There's not much of a shortcut to Stormalong Bay (the main pool). You can take the diagonal path across the courtyard in between the Villas and the main building and pass through the solarium then into the lobby. This isn't covered so you wouldn't want to do this if it was raining.

Well, lets see. Depending on where you are in the villas will dictate how far the pool is. Some of the rooms are very close. We stayed on the 5th floor all the away at the end, and we were still at the pool in about ( we took the staris and did not wait for the elevators) 5 to 7 minutes. There is no direct route to Stormalong Bay.
There is, however, a "quiet" pool that is available to Villa Guests. A normal type pool with a hot tub ( that i LOVE to spend quiet mornings in)

There is a "back door" from the villas which is past the volleyball courts and just a few feet feet infront of the footbridge to boardwalk.

The extra room is tremendous!! I have a hard time staying at regular hotel rooms because they cannot compare to a deluxe villa.

In addition, if you plan it right, with the kitchen you can make lunch and or dinner in the rooms once in a while to save money, and or add relaxing time. When we go, we eat all but 1 breakfast in he room and then usually alternate lunches and dinners.

If you are still teetering on the edge of DVC ownership, don't forget there are 500 locations throughout the world ( Hawaii, England, Australlia, Europe, bahama, cruises, etc) that you can use your DVC points on.

While you are there try to visit the other resorts where new DVC memberships are available such as Saratoga Springs, and the Animal Kingdom and in the Future the Contemporary. There are also "used" memberships out there for sale.

We will be staying at 3 DVC resorts in 37 days: Beach Club, Old Key West, and Animal Kingdom Villas.

Keep the questions coming if you have them. I love to chat about my favorite place.

I am also not a member on this site so i cannot post pics but i do have some of the beach club if you want to email me I can send them to you.
