walking right down the middle of mainstreet?

can anyone please tell me if they still do the ' i'm walking right down the middle of mainstreet' show at magic kingdom?? i've have'nt seen it in person ..just by watching the disneyland sing along video....i know my 4 year old would love seeing it in person....she belts it out in the car when we have the celebration cd going....bu i was just curious if they still do it..we've gone down to disneyworld for the past 8 or so years and still haven't seen it..although is it just a disneyland thing??
ok this is something very corny but is it just me or does anyone else imagine themselves dancing and singing in one of the magic kingdoms shows while listening to 'Im walking right down the middle of mainstreet ? i know i can't be the only crazy one..oh besides my hubby .. :hammer: :hammer:

I've seen it twice. The last time was just this past March. Both times we saw it, it was shortly after opening. I don't know if they do it throughout the day.

That is the Trolley Show, and yes they still perform 4 times in the morning. I'm not sure but I believe the first time is 9:20, and then like 10:25...but i'm not 100% sure. But yes, they still do perform every day!

The only time I remember seeing it is on Disneyland's 30th Anniversary TV Special and it Has Marie Osmond singing it and then she sings about a piano and has Chip & Dale, Goofy and Pluto at random areas playing the pianos down main street.

I LOVE the Trolley Show! Desperately seeking a video of it here. It's one of the only things I haven't been able to find on D-C.

If you want to make sure of catching it, ask at City Hall on the say, they can tell you when any of the live performers are due out.

http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ gives approx times, but anything with NP next to is means the web master can't guarantee the times, so best to check at City Hall to make sure.

I have that video, and I loved it when I was younger.

"And we'll be walkin' right down the middle of main street usa..."

Excuse me while I go searching through the house to find that tape and relive part of my childhood...

i saw that show the last time i was there which was in march, so i think its still going on.

i love that video so much, i still watched it regularly up untill last year (im 17 not) and then my little brother crushed it with one of his big wheel things. i wen to the toys r us near me the other day though, and they had a bunch of the videos on sale. i think they jsut never sold them back int he early 90's and dusted them off and put them on the shelves last week. but i bought me a new one. lol

I'm obsessed with the Trolley show! I insist watching it every morning we're in the MK. Some days I even walk down the street and watch it twice. That song is always stuck in my head too!

They actually had the Trolley Show on a VHS tape a few years back. It was
a Disney sing-along, that had video of Disneyland along with songs from the
park, including "I walking right down the middle of Main Street" and a hopped
up version of "Zip pa dee do dah".

I have that!!! And goodness, that was longer than "a few years back" heheh :p

The VHS is called "Disneyland Fun" and I used to be obsessed with that video!
The song they play there is the same, but the routine is not. I was in WDW last week, and the Trolly show was going on. I watched it as I ate my apple turnover from the Main Street Bakery...mmmmm.

I loooooooove the trolley show. Especially since it has bits of "The Trolley Song" from my favorite movie, Meet Me In St. Louis. We watched it on Sunday (while enjoying a bakery breakfast, of course). It is usually dressed up for whatever seasonal event happens to be taking place. On Sunday the trolley was all decked out for the fourth with ribbons and the cast was in their red white and blue costumes (the costumes rotate seasonally too) and the back of the trolley had a sign that said "Happy 4th of July!"
