Walking from SSR to DTD

Slappette and I stayed at Saratoga back in 2005. If memory serves, we stayed in the Congress Park section. That's closest to the walkway to DTD, right? A few times we opted to walk to DTD & have a meal in the Wolfgang Puck Express on the Marketplace side.

My question is, there IS another walkway on the other side of Saratoga, correct? Not exactly where the ferry picks up/drops off, but close? Better lit, footbridge over the water and all that? I could swear we walked back home that way one night (loooong walk, but we were over on the West Side/Pleasure Island/Adventurers' Club that night), but looking at the resort map on allearsnet.com, there's no symbol to denote a walkway over there. Am I right? Or was there one and it closed? Or is the map old before it opened? :veryconfu

This is the extreme northern tip of the West Side parking lot (the back parking lot beyond HoB and Cirque). The bridge and paths near it were first meant for golf carts and for people walking to the driving range (which is off the photo to the left). But as Downtown Disney expanded, they included a path to the West Side. (There were, and maybe still are, golf cart parking spots with charging hookups for those at the Treehouses who rented golf carts)

Once you're over the bridge and curve around, you can either follow the path along the edge of the lot, or the fastest route would be to make a bee-line walk straight across the lot.

Side personal story: This short-cut was actually my downfall during a scavenger hunt at WDW. We'd been going all day, and I was tired and my head wasn't working properly. We were in the West Side and just had to get to the "finish line" at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. I forgot about the path and jsut how short of a walk it was (didn't want to walk all the way around to the Marketplace end). So, we took the bus, which took FOREVER... (Needless to say, we went from first place to next-to-last place thanks to that oversight)
