Walking from Saratoga Springs to Downtown Disney?

I'm taking my wife to Disney for her birthday in three weeks. She has always wanted to stay at Saratoga Springs so when I recieved an email with a deal for Florida residents I jumped! Question though, can you walk from Saratoga to Dowtown Disney or is it too far? Also, I'm getting her a spa package as well, anyone ever been in the spa? I'm sure it's great but any suggestions?

We just stayed at Saratoga Springs last week and loved it. It is in walking distance to Downtown, but it depends on where your room is. We were in Congress Park and walked over - took about 10 minutes. However, if you're in an area like the Carousel (I think it's called), that place is pretty far from DD. Check out one of the maps of the layout and try to request one of the closest areas when you check in.

Oh how lucky is she!!! She's gonna love the spa, We stayed at Saratoga last december for the first time as new DVC ers and loved it...So close to Downtown...it was aabout a 5 -10 min walk ...which was nice..we were in the Congress park section room 1301..we had a beautiful waterveiw of all of downtown...You'll love this resort....It was the first time we've ever been to a resort where they asked "us" where we would like to stay....very nice!!!

Looks awesome!!! We can't wait. We're moving to Memphis in two months so this will be our last trip to Disney for quite awhile...
