I'm curious if anyone, cast member or otherwise, has seen a rise in walk-up dining availability at WDW restaurants since the dining plan changes have gone into effect.

Yoda, I get the feeling you're trying to convey something...:ROFLOL:
Perceptive you are young padawan.

It has not gotten much better. At best it is luck of the draw. Walk up breakfast at places like Kona, Whispering canyon and Boatwright's could be best described as possible. Breakfast at places like Chef Mickey's and CRT are a pipe dream. Lunch and dinner pretty much anywhere is tough as a walk up or even day of.

When we were at Coral Reef last week, we heard them telling walk-ups that they were booked solid through July.

Whoa! Not a single opening from May to July? Crazy! It makes me think how lucky I was to walk up and get in Les Chefs de France on my last trip.

I've never had a problem getting walk in seating at most places but that's because I'm typically in a party of two.

During my trip last June my girlfriend and I couldn't get walk up dinner seating in any park, period. We weren't exactly trying for Le Cellier either. :lookaroun

In February, walk-ups were routinely being turned away at every restaurant that I saw anyone attempt it. Lunch and Dinner the same. Breakfast at Kona had quite the line of people waiting while we were seated on four of five mornings we ate there.

I voted no change, but it may have gotten worse.

Walk ups are all but impossible. There may be the odd one here and there, but for the most part the places are booked months in advance.

I'd be interested in hearing from travel agents on whether sales of DDPs has gone down this year v. last year. I'm sure WDW doesn't reveal how many they sell.

Last October, we were able to get almost walk up (we called and got a ressie an hour in advance) at Chefs de Frenchy French. I thought the food was actually good. The hostess was a little snooty, snotty, snitty, or whatever the term is. But overall, it was ok for last minute needs.
