Walk from Epcot to Boardwalk, then to HS?

So we are doing the Villains Hollywood Bash on the 29th. HS closes at 6pm that day until the bash starts at 10:30. We thought we may get a late ADR somewhere inside Epcot then walk from the International Gateway(can we even do this) to Board Walk, then walk on to HS, should we even do this considering the length and time of night? I would like a backup plan in case they decide to not run boats to HS since the park is closed from 6-10:30. Suggestions for alternatives?

It's a nice walk and if you stop by Boardwalk on the way that's "about" half way. If you don't mind walking it is totally doable.

Thanks for the feedback, excellent to know! Is it well lit? We'd be walking around 10-10:30 and the stretch from BW to HS looks like it could be dark.

It's doable. There are some really great places to eat on the Boardwalk too, keep that in mind!

Very doable. At a stroll, it'll take you 40 mins, but there isn't much to see once you leave BW property, so you can speed up then if you so desire. There's a shortcut, as it were, through the boardwalk villas that will cut down the distance, if you like. It's pretty easy to see looking at a satellite view at google where the shortcut would be. But I find it more pleasant to walk along the boardwalk all the way down to Atlantic Dance.

no problem doing that. its about a 30 minute walk, but i would stop for a drink along the way to make the walk feel way shorter!!! with a quick beverage stop, you can make it in under 45

Or, you could stop by the Boardwalk dock and hitch a ride!!

Or you could just catch the boat at the International Gateway to any of three resort stops before you go on to HS!

or you could take the boat... thats what i usually do is walk to boardwalk and then take the boat to the studios or vice versa.

I tought about the boat but wasnt sure if it would be going to HS since it closes at 6 until the Bash starts a 10:30. We'll probably ask the boat driver if they are going there, if not the we walk.

I would expect that the boat will run throughout -- if not - you can take it at least halfway -- but they run for about two hours after closing, and start up again about an hour before reopening -- so I don't think they will be shutting down during the evening at all....

Here's something to keep in mind: if you are a walker and are used to it, you'll enjoy your 40-minute walk...if you are not a walker, the LAST thing you are going to want to do after a full day walking miles and going nowhere inside the parks all day is to walk another 40-minutes between parks...

Finally...keep an eye on the weather -- if it's 85 degrees or warmer, you are going to have a MISERABLE walk between the parks in the Florida humidity.

Well we would be walking at around 10:00pm for the Villians Bash at HS so I would think temperature would be ok.

The pathway is well lit, no need to worry. The temp usually isn't usually too bad at that time of the night 75 to 80's.
