If you don't have a fp for the Frozen Sing Along, how early do you need to show up before each show? This would be for end of October.

Early enough to get a return time ticket. The wait is less than 20 minutes once you come back for the show. The earlier you show up during the return time window the better your seat will be but I don't recommend getting there early. Instead wait until last minute so you don't have to wait in the line which is hot and uncomfortable even though it's under a roof.

the show is deffinetly worth seeing btw. It's a little campy but it's cute and kinda fun to sing with everyone else as a group.

So are the still giving out "return time tickets" even though they now offer Fastpass? If so, how does it work? Do you have to go there early in the morning and do you have a choice of times?

Yes they are still handing out return time tickets in addition to fast pass tickets. The fast pass tickets ensure you a front and center seat. Yes you have a choice of shows depending on how busy the park is. There are now up to 10 shows a day.
