Vote! Main Street USA Photo Contest (group 1)

Ok......26 people participated this week, up from 20 last week. Since Steve was nice enough to increase the poll options to 20 last week, I dont really want to push my luck any further.....that, and I would expect more and more people to participate in future contests....therefore, I have divided the entries into 2 groups......the top 5 or so entries from each group will then be judged against each other (after this poll closes).

Eh, voting ends when? I was thinking it would be best to just end the voting with these two seperate polls and call it 2 different winners. Starting yet another poll on this same topic would be rather redundant.

Also, just a suggestion on how Now Inc and myself had run things before, it makes thing a lot easier on the voters to see all of the pics next to one another. So making a pic of all of the thumbnails in the first post is more fun than just having the clickable list.

The thought about prelim/final polls is this.....we had 20 entries in the first contest, 26 in the second, and already 19 in the 3rd contest. Polls only allowed 15 choices, but Steve bumped it up to 20 for the first contest. Now, in the future, I think, especially for some certain contests, considerably more people will participate......so do we have a choice of 40 or 50 options, or do we narrow down 50 pictures to 10 or so GREAT pictures.

It honestly does not matter to me if we have a winner at all, or 2 winners, or 5 winners.

As for the thumbnails.....it is fairly easy for me to submit the current format, especially since I normally put it together during my Friday lunch break. Thumbnails may be easier to navigate, but honestly, I don't have time to put that together.

Ummmmm No. Sorry Zac, I cant agree with ya here. I mean, we've done the same things with the poster contests for several years now.

Personally i think this will continue to help the quality of photography put forth on this site.
