hey,
we are going in a few days to wdw. i have 3 kids (10, 9 & 7). i understand what vmk is and how it works. in your opinion, is it a good idea or will this take over my magic kingdom time. is there an end to this activity or are my kids going to pester me and not want to do anything else while we're there? how did this work out for any of you guys? and how long did it take? thanks.

VMK is long dead

There is the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game now.. which is cards and interactive kiosks around the kingdom. I haven't played myself.. but I have not heard of complaints of it dominating a family trip yet.

I think you might be mixing up Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and the Virtual Magic Kingdom. Virtual Magic Kingdom was an internet based game that was shut down several years ago. Sorcerers is an interactive card based game that you play in the parks.

Sorcerers can eat up some time. If you are traveling during a busy time of year and are hell bent on doing every attraction as many times as you can then I would skip it or at the very least limit what they do. If you are there in the off season and do not have an attraction check list that you must go through, you can mix in a few games.

We did that at least 6 to 7 years ago and i think its been gone that long. We won a free keys to the kingdom tour which was cool...but i don't know that anything to do with VMK has been around for years. We did Kim Possible which is now Perry The Platypus and the nice thing about that is it's timed. So if your worried about it taking all day it won't, but the downside is if you can't complete it you have to start the whole mission over.

hate to break it to you but its been gone for a long time. may i suggest the agent p experience at epcot or sorcerers of the magic kingdom. they are a scavenger hunt through out their respective parks. the best is you can do them again and again with different experiences. i highly recommend them, however, they are time consuming and addicting, especially people who collect the cards throughout the sorcerers one.
