My mother and I are in disagreement, she is saying since I have to check in at Vista Way that's where I'll be staying. Can I have some proof to show her that ISN'T true? I know you can request where you want to stay, but she doesn't believe me. My roommate and I are planning on getting there early, so we have a better chance of getting Chatham.

all check in is done at Vista way, but if you do get there early enough, you can request Chatham. That is done on a first come first served basis. Good luck and have fun!

everything i have read leads me to believe we can ask when we check in, if there is room available.

Tell your mom the DisneyCP website tells everyone that check in is at vista way.

well, everyone checks in at Vista (since that is where they hold it). But you can request Chatham. That is where I have stayed all three times.

UNLESS you signed up for the roommate notification. If you do the Roommate Notification, You are already assigned to an apartment and room. You have no say in the matter.

Their is no guarntee of you getting 4 roommates because I know of some people who got 3 roommates who did the Roommate Notification so it is pretty much random but you really don't have any say in the matter if you did the notification.

I did wish they would have told this before I did it but I've already talked to my roommate since February so I'm fine with meeting him and any potential random roommates I will have later whether its 6 other roomies or 4.

I have heard if you participate in the roommate notification you will not get a choice in which apartment complex you want to live in, how many rooms, and the rent. I have heard the apartment complex/room is already assigned to you. Is this true? My friend and I put in each other's application numbers in the roommate notification. Should we not do this?

Hi Ashleigh,



We do assign you and your roommate in the same apartment base on the profile that input in the system prior to your arrival. You can request the complex or the bed room size when you check in, if there is one available we are happy to change that for you.

Some prefer the VW environment.

I am in Chatham, like Chatham just fine except for the security thing, but that's all CP apartments. However, Disney is now working with Sabal Palm, so you do have a choice to go over there and it works just as if living in VW or Chatham from what I understand.

Commons and THV are segregated.
