Visiting Guest Relations?

I visit guest relations just to soak in the magic. I also pick up a guide map in Japanese, ask for up to the minute theme park news, and get my "chronic onset explosive diarrhea" disability card so that I can skip right to the front of the People Mover for my 17-23 rides.

I have left compliments for cast members. We did it in June for a server in Tony's. She was awesome, and it only took a second for us to do it. I have gotten birthday buttons, signed in for a tour, gotten dining reservations (back when I needed to go there). It's a good place for general information if you need it, and are close. Very helpful people in there.

That doesn't qualify for a Disability Card. It does, however, qualify for a WTMA (way to much ability) Card and a sandwich board for you to wear telling people to allow at least a 25 foot distance circle of safety away from you.

We had numerous problems with magic bands this year that required guest relation attention. My kept randomly not allowing me to check out at table services. Could use it for snack credits. Use it for counter service. But when they would scan it at a table service it would come up with a message like "unknown error". There was an issue with our Memory maker we purchased. It would not link up and kept thinking we had not purchased it. Had to have guest relations sort it out. We cashed in our Visa Rewards points there.

While waiting our turn we usually heard others mostly complaining about odd things.

Was actually at Guest Relations Sunday night in MK because I idiotically misplaced my phone (thankfully, it was recovered!). Aside from that, only times I've been there have been to activate my AP/TiW, which I use the Guest Relations at the International Gateway entrance in Epcot for since it's so quiet there.

We have had to go there a few times, usually to complain that our Magic Bands not working properly and once at Epcot to find out where the FastPass area is to see Illuminations (They didn't know themselves and neither did 5 CM's)

On our last trip we visited Epcot guest relations once for Magicband issues, and Magic Kingdom twice, once to pick up our Chase Disney Redemption Card, and to pick up purchased merchandise on our last day.

We went to Guest Relations because we were asked by a CM to take a survey, and went another time to ask about early admittance to the park due to reservations for breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table the next morning. Being that our reservation was before park opening, we did not know if we approached the park entrance as you normally would, or if there was special protocol for going about this. That being said, we probably could have just figured it out on the fly, but when my wife suggested we go to Guest Relations the night before, I said sure since I had only been in there briefly for the computer survey and wanted to check out the interior of the building a bit more. I have to admit that I also wanted to go into City Hall partly so that I could hear what other guests where asking/complaining about.
