Last Dec. we were chosen to try Fast Pass+, and one of the choices was the VIP viewing area for Wishes!. I didn't know there was such an area, and we ended up making a different choice for our FP+. But, I'm curious where it is. I am pretty particular about standing with the castle front and center right before the hub. To me, no other place would do.

I get one VIP viewing access at Wishes and one at Illuminations with my Premium package in December. I'm not sure where either of them are. My plans are for two full days each at EPCOT and MK, so I'll do VIP once each, then the other night stand wherever I like.

I've read around the boards the Illuminations FP+ is going to be At the main entrance to WS. And the MK Fireworks are going to be in two new areas not used for fireworks before.

The only reason I dislike being right in front of the castle is the crowds, I've grown fond of watching the fireworks on the balcony of Contemporary; it gives a new perspective and very few are usually there. Anyway, my guess was the VIP area for Magic Kingdom was at Tomorrowland Terrace but that seems too easy..

The Designated Fastpass+ Area for Wishes is in the Rose Garden to the right if you are facing the castle.

There is also a AAA viewing area in the Ice Cream Parlour Swan Boat Dock Area, which was also used as overflow for Fastpass+ during the last test.

I personally don't like to have the castle front and center, I'd rather be slightly off to one side because if you get too close the castle tends to block some of the fireworks. I've been lucky enough to watch the show from both Reserved areas and enjoyed both of them quite a bit.

But after seeing the show several times my favorite place is actually New Fantasyland, it's pretty special back there.

The best place to watch Wishes is right outside Casey's on the edge og Main Street. They make a roped seperation there for people to pass, I like to stay right behind that rope, then there is no one in front of you (cause kids on top of their parants are awful, haha) and I believe you get an awesome view with little disturbances. Yes, there will ofc be people walking in that area, but I manage to ignore them and look to the sky.

Stood all the way in front of the castle once, BAD idea! Nofireworks to be seen nearly... :(

Another fav spot is in the middle of the hub on the left side. But you have to be here pretty early to get a good place, I dont like to sneak in front of people etc...

If you dont like crowds and/or just want to watch the fireworks nearly by yourself, stand outside the bird house (speaker) in Liberty Square, sit on the stone wall have a drink and relax, Wishes will be seen really good. I do this option a lot if the park is packed or Im going to run for Splash Mountain right after the fireworks. The firework view here is really good.

In Epcot I think the best place to watch IllumiNations is from between Norway and China. Norway has this bigass tree outside it which I would love to cut down (then I could watch it from The Norwegian Club). But my fav spot is outside Akershus.

We usually watch from somwhere either between Norway and China or Norway and Mexico. Great area with minimal obstruction.

What's this "Norwegian Club" that you speak of??? o_O

I think its also a great place because the firework smoke usually never goes that way...
The Norwegian Club is the conference center at the Norway pavilion. Its the floor above Maelstrom, you can see the windows above it, and its actually something in there. :p

In Disney its usually referred to now as Norway Loft, but its original and real name is The Norwegian Club. Its two big rooms (Northern Lights and The Fjord Room) with one room including some sofa´s, chairs and table. The second room is a serving/presentation room. Its a big theater screen there and you can have meals, presentations etc... Theres an elevator that goes right down to the kitchen, so food is fresh. The rooms also have some windows with art, craft and stuff from Norway on display.

I love the conference center. (slept on those sofa´s some times :p)

When I was at WDW in September they were trailing a fast pass iewing area to the left of the hub, it was roped off and manned by cast members.... But it was an absolute pain for traffic flow!!
