Views from Wilderness Lodge

I've read that you used to be able to see Cinderella Castle from certain rooms at WL, but since the trees have grown the views are limited.

So are there ANY rooms left that you can see the castle from? What about the fireworks? I keep reading that 5032 and 6032 are the best rooms because they have views of the castle and fireworks, but is that info current or is that old info from before the trees grew?

I'm thinking of staying at WL for a few nights on my fall trip instead of CB, but I'm having a horrible time deciding on a view. I think it would be neat to stay in the lobby building, but it would also be neat to have a woods view that you can see Wishes from, but it would also be neat to have that awesome courtyard view, but it would also be neat to have a direct view of the lake and the electrical water parade! How on earth do you decide? So many great choices!

I've been scouring the internet for a good website that shows pictures from a bunch of different rooms, something similar to http://tikiman2001.homestead.com/ only for the WL. Anyone know of one?

I am not sure you can see the castle from any room, but with all the trees lost from last years Hurricanes you might be able to now. the best room have a view of the lake and pool area

If you can see the castle from any of the rooms, it's a new thing. When I first stayed at WL last year, that was one of my first questions to the lady at reservations. I asked what type of room I would need to book to have a chance to see the castle. She said that at WL, there are no castle view rooms.

Regardless, I still love WL, but those castle views are addictive!

Thats because all of the trees have grown. When the WL opened we could see the castle from out room every night and watch the fireworks. It was the first thing the kids wanted to see in the morning.

6022 - 6032 were the rooms to get. We have been staying on the other side of the lodge lately, overlooking the quiet pool and the villas.

We stayed at the WL in Dec. and are headed back there in May. We could see the castle, the Contemporary,Space Mtn. and the monorail line from our room. The view of the castle was a little blocked by the trees, but at night we could see it clearly. We even watched Wishes from our balcony one night. We had room 4032, so I would think that the rooms higher up would be better. I plan to ask for a room on the north side again this trip.

Wonderful news!! So those "xx32" rooms are the way to go then for a woods view. I will definitely try to get either 4032, 5032, or 6032 then. Hopefully it won't be too tough.

On my upcoming trip, I'm afraid I'll be stuck with, as the CRO cast member put it, the "General Motors View." No hope of the castle. But a heck of a deal on the room rate :).

From 22 thru 32 is ok.

6032 ( my favorite) is right by the snack & ice machines and right near an elevator. If you are light sleepers then ask for a lower number.

I shadowed the Conceirge Cast Members at WL, they were great. They checked in a guest who decided to request a MK view upon check-in. They went through the records and a good handful of rooms were MK view, both Conceirge level and non. The views are not remarkable from what I understand, but still pretty cool.

We recently stayed in the WL from 12/26/04 to 1/02/05. We had a room on the concierge level (the top level) and we had a perfect view over the trees of the castle including the fireworks shows and the contemporary.

I dont know for sure but it is possible that the level below would have a view over the trees.
