Vidia joins the other fairies at Pixie Hollow in the Magic Kingdom

Are these movies even worth watching? I always assumed no because as with every other direct to DVD film, they typically stink! I'd be willing to give it a shot after the amount if years it took to make. And I am sure we will see some form of PH in FLE.

I think they are some of the best direct to dvd movies around. They have fun adventures and are pretty humorous. The next dvd is released next month and I can't wait.

to meet these fairys... do you have to go through some kind of shrink machine when you meet them? just kind of odd that one minuet your full sized, and the next your apparently the same size as the fairy? or did they grow? OMG!!! the madness!!! :p

Just out of curiosity. The article mentions that they are in "Pixie Hollow". It's been a year or so since I've been to WDW, and I know my kid is going to love to do this M&G. Where is this located? I know there was going to be a Pixie Hollow in the FLE at one point, which is pretty much dropped now. Where in MK do they currently do this M&G?

Pixie Hollow is a designated area in the Judges Tent in MK I believe...I've never actually been there.

In the back of one of the big tents in Toon Town (Judge's tent, perhaps? I can't remember. Has the giant gift shop in it), there is an area in the back where you can meet princesses or pixies. You get in one of two lines.

The lines are themed as you walk down the hallways, and eventually into a little forest to meet them. It's kinda cool actually. And literally cool, since it's all air conditioned.

Thank you! We've never waited at the Judge's Tent, so I've never seen this area. Last time we were there, we got all our M & G done at Epcot, but since my DD will be nearly 3 this trip, I think she'll be more into it. She was when we went to Sesame Place earlier this year, wanting to keep going back to see Elmo, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster, so I can only imagine it will be more exciting for her when it's the Disney characters!

I love this franchise to little bits and pieces, but I wish Disney could hire me on to their wardrobe department. I am a hobbyist costumer and it really nags at me to see my favourite characters represented with such poorly-styled hair and ill-fitted garments. :C Poor Vidia's shirt is practically a bag, and her wig is a mess. Now I have the urge to make my own rendition out of spite. (Vidia is my favourite fairy, next to Tink.)

And yes, this franchise is well worth the watch! There are a few "Wowwwwwww, that was cheesy!" moments (but aren't there in almost every Disney flick?), but as a 26-year-old young lady I can't get enough. I'm the most popular teacher at my elementary school because I decorate my office with Disney Fairies merch, LOL.

I totally agree!! Im guessing you're a cosplayer??

Also, is Pixie Hollow still open? I wasnt sure with the toontown refurb and all. Im going to WDW in 13 days and i've never met Tink, was kinda hoping to but i wasnt sure as to what the status on Pixie Hollow was at the moment.

The current pixie meet-n-greet is still open back in Toon Town...unless something has changed recently.

Correction: the Fairies appear in the Toontown Hall of Fame, not the Judge's Tent.

Also, I still think the FLE will include PH in some form or another and that the rumors of it being dropped are just rumors and lies made-up by the big fat liar known as Lee.

Interesting comments from someone familiar with the costume industry! Thanks for sharing.

Here's a better pic of Vidia in her wig, from the Disneyland version of Pixie Hollow. Disneyland's Pixie Hollow is outdoors under trees that offer semi-shade, so perhaps this more natural lighting gives a better look at the wig and costume? I'd love to hear your thoughts with the more natural lighting.

Does Vidia own a boat? Live in an oatmeal box? With Vidia's arrival, a small boat and a new house has arrived in the lagoon in the pre-show queue area for Disneyland's Pixie Hollow. I assume these new elements have something to do with Vidia. The other pixies homes aren't quite as specific as these new additions.

The boat is something that is used to rescue Tinker Bell when she gets stuck inside a human's house, and the house is what the human girl makes for fairies before Tinker Bell even arrives but Tinker Bell uses it. I would know because I saw the movie in LA last night at a premiere and met Fawn, Silvermist and Rosetta. You guys are right, the fairies are very, very cute!

Ah, okay, so these new things don't belong to Vidia exclusively. They are just new elements from the latest movie involving a girl who makes craft items.

Which makes the new decorations in the photo area make more sense, as there are new "human drawn" storybooks and decorations around. It's nice they are updating the Pixie Hollows in the parks as these new movies come along. Perhaps this franchise isn't as dead as we thought?
