I was just wondering if you can videotape while on a ride? For example, while riding the Haunted Mansion, can one video the ride?
Are there rules as to where one can videotape?
T minus 8 days and counting!

Two simple rules to video tapping.

1. Don't get caught
2. See rule #1

Seriously, any attraction that doesn't allow VTing will let you know before hand. Just go with the flow.

DF pretty much covered it. There have been other threads like this in the general forum, so if ya scroll down a little or go a couple pages back you may find some helpful info.

Even when a cast member tells you at the beginning when you board...like say Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin....wait till you get past the loading area and then just turn the video camera on. If they ask you at the end just say that nobody told you about no video taping.

Rules for videotaping

Just what everyone said.

I have tapes of almost every ride.

Like they said, wait until you pass the loading area.

Its funny, because I have comeout in Splash Moun., and RnRc Pictures with a camera in my hand, and all kinds of people approach me and say, "so how did it come out".

I had the Sony Video Camera, with Night Vision, and even though I had that capability, RnR Coaster was a terrible video.

***cool fact***

Dinosaur (CTE) uses Infrared Beams to transmit Sound to your car, and Night Vision uses Infrared sensative technology, so all you see with the Night Vision on is Beams going everywhere, It looks like a room lit up with Stadium Lights!. PRETTY COOL!;)

We've just returned and can remember a distinct change this time,if you pay attention they will say " no FLASH photography or external video LIGHTING" my DH pretty much taped every ride we went on this year and no C/M said a word in fact in COP there was never a C/M present.

My daughter was videotaping the Rod Serling thing inside the library of the ToT...and a voice that sounded like someone who has one of those gizmos on his vocal box after surgery came over the audio track and said..."No Video Taping Please"...so she stopped...and they ask not to video tape during the drop too but that may be so you don't wind up videotaping your throat.

I got the feeling their may be some copyright garbage involved with ToT.
