Anybody know where I can find information about videotaping and what's permissible during attractions? Thanks for your assistance.

From what I remember from my May trip, they say "no taping" on the following rides...

Animal Kingdom: It's Tough To Be A Bug

Disney MGM Studios: One Man's Dream, Star Tours, Muppet Vision 3-D, Tower Of Terror, Magic Of Disney Animation, Rock And Rollercoaster, Sounds Dangerous

Epcot: Ellen's Energy Adventure, Cranium Command, The Circle Of Life(From The Land), Honey, I Shrunk The Audience, American Adventure was but a recent post said they allow it now

Magic Kingdom: Timekeeper, Carousel Of Progress (if either are open), Alien Encounter,

That's all I remenber. There may be more, but it's been a while. There was a thread on this earlier if you feel like looking back. If they don't allow taping on a specific ride, they will make an announcement. Otherwise, as far as I know, you can. The parades and shows, there is no such announcement, just don't use external lighting and you should be okay.

The've already caned the ban in One's Man Dream and many other rides are due to the motion, not the camcorder (think of loosing you cam on RnR.)

I though they did want you to video tape because it could reveal Disney's Secrets?

From my experience, 90% of the time they won't bother you if you aren't bothering anyone else. I've recorded RnR, and other things I wasn't supposed to, and I've seen CMs look right at me and not even care.

I've been able to record every single ride at WDW. If you don't make it obvious, you can video-tape anything. It's all about concealing the camera...

My brother has tape of just about every attraction. At least 4 different versions of Small World alone (Florida and California). He's got great footage of Test Track and while on the TTA, has footage of Space Mountain with the lights on. We were on Dinosaur this past June when it stopped and the lights came on. He has tape of that as well. As long as there is no exterior lghting or flash photography, we have not been stopped from filming. While taping Space, a CM was working in the ride, standing on some stairs and saw my brother with his camera rolling. The CM picked up his radio, said something and the lights imediately went out. It looks great when you watch the whole thing transpire.

I tried taping RnR flagrantly(having camcorder out and ready when getting seated) and a CM told me not to. The next time I rode, I kept it concealed and didnt bring it out till we launched. The onride photo is of me holding it out but no one said anything. If you can dream it, you can do it is absolutely right

I think that is the key. With no external lighting, you wont disturb other guests, and shouldn't be a problem. (Realize that many small camcorders have fold out screens that can throw alot of light too).:)

As with the other threads :-
If you dont spoil the enjoyment for others (and your not trying industrial espionage) you should be ok to record mst things. Just don't try and sue Disney when you lose the recorder on RNR !

:lookaroun The only two I have had a problem with are: Who wants to be a millionaire play it and the tower of terror. The tower of terror depends on the cm, but tried milionaire twice and had a problem both times. Now taking the TT is a challenge but well worth it - Like everyone said as long as you have no external lighting their is not usually a problem. R & R do not think I could do that one -- HAVE to HOLD ON!!!!!!!!!!! How did you do it?????

You can tape in most places, just listen for an announcement so you know if it isn't allowed.

In One Man's Dream, you can tape and take pictures of anything in the exhibit part, but you can't take pictures or video in the movie part of the attraction.

You obviously havent had camera wielding tourists run into you while they are shooting and not paying attention. They also make noise and when its quite no matter how loud they are you can hear them.
