Is the main reason against fireworks in the studios due to the lack of a logical launch point that won't cripple the rest of the park?

Boy, that changes things. Is this what they are planning to do when Fantasmic is down?

No actually Fantasmic has been down since January 9 I believe. They only did this tonight because they were hoping to draw crowds away from MK due to the President being there earlier during the day. The fireworks are really entertaining, but operationally the park just doesn't really lend itself to them. Fantasmic works a lot better since it is in a sort of isolated from the rest of the park so it doesn't really disturb any other attractions or operations in the park.

Awesome video,this would be a great thing to have once a week,fireworks and all,but hey!,very impressed with the band,they even managed to sneak in a part of " Tom Sawyer" by Rush,my favourite band of all time.:sohappy:

If any of you want to know the technical details, I shot this video with a Canon Vixia HF20 with a wide angle lens Canon WD-H37II (0.7x) and an external microphone Canon DM100

The settings: autofocus off set to infinity, shutter speed set to 1/30, white balance tungsten.

Very cool how perfectly timed and in synch everything is, especially considering that the music is performed live.

Very nice show! I enjoy rockin the evenings away with Mulch Sweat and Shears as it is, then add a good fireworks show and I am there. It would be nice if they did that as a once per week show.

If they just would've sited the park so it wasn't hemmed in by those two major roads...

Well I assume the other launch points would have been on what were previously regarded as backstage areas, but so much of that park is now on stage that I assume it makes it tougher.

I'm all for closing TSMM earlier if we could have this every night.

Considering that it's the highest demand attraction in any park right now, that's going to be a hard sell

One little annoyance during the show: they did not turn off the traffic lights, and every two minutes you could hear that bell ringing
