The family and I have booked a short trip over Veterans Day Weekend, 11/9-11/15. What kind of crowds can we expect over the weekend in particular? Is Veterans Day busy like Columbus Day?

Veterans Dat Weekend 2012 Crowds

Yes. Not ridiculously busy, but much busier than normal for that time of year.
Anytime you have a school holiday like that (Veteran's Day, Columbus Day, MLK Day, etc.), you're going to see larger than normal crowds, as many families will come down for a long weekend. President's Day will see MUCH larger crowds, owing to the fact that many schools in the northeast get that entire week off. Also, the weekend after President's Day is the Princess half marathon, so a lot of people come for the whole week.

Yep- any holiday is quite busy! Nowadays there really isn't an "uncrowded" time to visit w/ all of the discounts and special events.

End of F&W , Jersey week, 1st weekend with christmas decorations, Marathon plus holiday weekend will spike up the crowd to about a level 8 for the weekend. We have gone that week for the last 4 years once you get past monday it is much less crowded before the Thanksgiving week madness starts.

New Jersey Teacher Convention is that Thursday and Friday, Election day before it on the Tuesday, Veteran's day after, many NJ schools have much time off, so many head to WDW; heaviest time is the Thursday-Sunday.
