As I am sure that this has been asked a bazillion times, I will ask you to forgive me in advance.

My wife and I plan on taking our trip to WDW this May and we will be bringing our infant who will be 6 months old. My question is, if you have the little "baby on a backpack / front-pack holder" thingy, are you allowed to go on rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean / Haunted Mansion etc? I'm fairly sure that she will be too young to understand anything going on but would still like to do these types of things while we are there.

If an attraction has no height restriction, and you are comfortable as a parent with a particular attraction, then there should be no problem.

What the PP said, I would just add that you might want some form of hearing protection not only to protect young ears but to avoid loud sounds from startling your child.

My experiences are blending together from DL and WDW and all the different rides, but your baby can definitely ride any attraction without a height requirement. Sometimes, though, you could be asked to take them out of a carrier.

Yes you are. I used the front pack thingy and found it incredibly convenient and quite honestly, much safer. Having 2 free hands to board an attraction is much easier then trying to do it with a baby in one arm.

As others have said, yes as long as their is no height requirement. You might also want to consider a baby swap. All three of you go into the line together. When you get to the front, one rides and the other waits. When the rider finishes let the cast member know and they will bring you to the front of the line, you get the baby and the other perosn rides.

I think that's the first time I've seen this given as advice, and it's great advice at that. Bravo! *glof clap*.

You should never apologize in advance, well, unless you are asking if you can bring an old refillable mug, pool hop, or use someone else's annual pass. :ROFLOL:

I just wanted to add something I saw from my most recent trip.

In some rides the CM will insist that your child be facing forward. They don't care how old the child is. I watched a family have to turn their sleeping 2 year old around on Pooh Bear after the lap bar had already closed. The kid woke up screaming half way through the process and it held up the entire line.

So I would say make sure your baby can either way in your front carrier. Also I think for most of the rides the front pack is a better option. You don't want to get bumped backwards and accidently sqoosh baby yah know.
