VERY odd request...lion king and Macbeth?

so not very sure if this belongs here..but here it goes....

you see, as probably everyone else reading this I have an unhealthy obsession with Disney. So I've made it my mission to incorporate it into every school project I get....lol. So for my AP Lit class I have a project due tomorrow...I have to find a modern movie and have to compare scenes to Macbeth. I was thinking Lion King...
1. Scar wants to kill Mufasa to be King (Macbeth kills Banquo)
2. 3 murderers hired - hyeenas
3. Simbaa is almost killed but gets away (Fleance escapes)
4. The Circle of Life is very similar to the elizabethan chain of being.

so i've got a few but a couple more wold be amazing..... If anyone wants to help a random disney fan in need... that would be lovely!!! thanks!!!

thats pretty good... though what about the witches? they basically TELL macbeth every thing thats going to happen to him but he sorta refuses to hear them. see if you can work that in there...(though i couldnt really think of an example)

I think the Macbeth comparison is mentioned in the making of feature on the DVD.

I think that TLK stole more from Hamlet then Macbeth.

Lion King 2= Romeo and Juliet

Lion King 1 1/2= King Leer (not really)

ooh see i dont know hamlet that well so i cant help anymore...i was just trying to think of more macbeth comparisons...

is there another movie you had in mind?

thanks....i know...Lion Kings more of a Hamlet thing...but the project is on macbeth and this was the closest i could get....i was trying to get the witches....but i can't find any connection

Rafiki would be the closest character, but unfortunately he is not close enough compared to the MacBeth witches. I think you are out of luck with the witches.

No, 1 1/2 is Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, though that play isn't technically a work of Shakespeare, it is a retelling of Hamlet from the standpoint of the comic relief characters.
