We braved the TS and made the day trip to AK, Epcot and MK. The rain kept us from doing all 4 parks like we wanted to do. It was such an ugly day I only took about 10 pictures.

The park was still rather crowded with the storms. It rained really hard about 3 times for 30 minutes. The rest of the day it was sprinkling for awhile and then the sun would come out; then rain. Thankfully we lucked out and were on rides each time it rained hard.

Lucky in the rain with a hat and rain coat on. I was surprised they took him out at all even though it was raining.

Primeval Whirl was down for the 1.5 hours we were there. These four techs were working on this one car the whole time. When we left, it seemed to be running but was told it would be another hour till we could ride. Ah well next year.

EE is looking amazing. It is so much larger than I expected it. You can see it from the parking lot and most of the park it seemed.

The roof of Test Track seemed to have water damage from the past 3 hurricanes still. This was over the Fast Pass line.

Epcot:
- Soarin was amazing and just blew my mind. Much more than I expected.
- 2 of the empty spaces in the World Showcase between countries were boarded up.
- The Viking ship was closed off i am guessing for the rain.

Magic Kingdom:
- Castle looked great and Wishes was wonderful. We missed most of it since we had to ride the TTA before we left
- Stich was a big dissapointment. The cannons didnt seem to shoot, not sure if they should have but no flashes of light or anything. Ruined the whole effect for me.

Wonder if that is the Primeval Whirl car that was having problems the last time I was over at AK. It spun the entire ride, from the top of the lift to the very end.

Lucky in a rain hat is adorable! lol I'm surprised he's able to go out in the rain also. Guess it just goes to show how advanced he really is! Good news for the future.

Even on a bad day, Disney still looks great.
I tell ya, if Ontario ever becomes a U.S. state (somehow), I'm applying to Disney the day after.

(and changing my user name, of course).

Flower and Garden Festival Shutdown

I believe the areas of the World Showcase that are currently behind walls are areas where displays had been setup for the Flower and Garden Festival which had its last weekend the 4th and 5th. I know we saw a water garden on the 4th near Italy that was closed off when we went by on the 9th.

This would be correct. I passed those areas last week and it was right where special displays had been set up for the Flower and Garden Festival.

Actually, I somewhat enjoy rainy days at Disney because a lot of people leave and it makes the lines much shorter. We always bring our yellow
Mickey ponchos just in case. Wear flip flops and just slosh around in the puddles, of course this wouldn't be too smart if you have small children...

I can't wait to see Lucky. He looks so cool.
