Vegan or Vegetarian Dining Suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions for Vegan or Vegetarian dining while staying at WDW? I know accomodations can be made in advance at most sit down restaraunts but to be honest, we don't have the $$ required for sit downs at every meal , not to mention we would prefer to not be locked in to certain places at certain times so far in advance. We are definitely "spur of the moment" type people... Any ideas for people who are picky like us?

Most quick service restaurants that have burgers will offer Veggie burgers. Several also have salads.

You could try emailling guest relations and asking if there is anything that can be done and if there is a list of restaurants that has vegan/vegaterian offerings.

Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful buffet type of restaurant with delicious food, including many vegetarian things.

The Harbor House (a counter service) in MK had vegetarian chili in a bread bowl. My daughter said it wasn't half bad. If you go, make sure you go upstairs....it's usually quieter.

Almost all of the counter service restaurants have a vegetarian selection....vegan might be a little more difficult.

if they don't have anything vegitarian on the menu just ask your server. they normally will go and get the chef and they will taylor make you something to your likeing. we did that at cinderellas royal table. my wife was allergic to beef or pork, but can have chicken. the chef came out to talk to us and customade a dish just for her and she said it was fablous. most of the fast food type places have veggie burgers or pizza. Buffets are nice. we went to a bunch of breakfast buffets and they always had a large fruit bar, and tons of muffins and danish. and I highly reccomend the fettichini alfredo at alfredos, they don't have alot of meatless dishes on their menu but the fettichini is well worth a trip.

Sadly i am going to have to say you won't have a lot of choice. Ofcourse salads and Veggie burgers are always an option but you can get tired of eating them as every meal. Disney has great vegetarian selection but i usualy find it at sit down restuarants and not on the go. I personaly have not been able to find a lot of options for on the go meals but i hope you do.

I know the land in epcot has a veggie wrap that is wonderful its fresh veggies and a vinegarette dressing when I want something light I go for that

Counter Service Vegetarian

Here's a few from quick service locations...

• Veggie Lo Mein (China) --- quite good
• Vegetarian Platter (Morocco) --- very good!
• Veggie Burger (Electric Umbrella, Epcot) --- not so great
• Veggie Burger (Cosmic Ray's, MK) --- same
• Veggie Pizza (Pizzafari, DAK) --- pretty good!
• Veggie Bread Bowl Chili (Columbia Harbor Housei, MK) --- great!

Wow! Thanks for all the great suggestions! I really appreciate it! Although I have been a vegetarian for over 10 years, and have done Disney vegetarian style before with little difficulty, I have recently discovered I am not lactose intolerant and am panicking a little bit about my upcoming trip. Your info has put me a bit more at ease...
