Where is Whispering Canyon? Sounds like that one could go either way.
Right now it's looking like:
1.) Coral Reef
2.) Crystal Palace
3.) Chef Mickey's
4.) Cape May Cafe
5.) Boma
Seems about 98%. We all love it at the moment :sohappy:
For our December trip it's looking like
1.) 50's Prime Time Cafe (D)
2.) Trails End Restaurant (D) How is this place? Worth it?
3.) Kona Cafe (breakfast)
4.) Planet Hollywood? Grand Floridian Cafe (lunch or dinner)? Suggestions?
Avoid Planet Hollywood completely, if possible. Le Cellier is really good.
I loved Trails End. I also eat like a fat kid though. The ribs were good and I loved the soup... I eat tons of soup.Right now it's looking like:

I was told the crunch chicken was good :lookaroun
What's so bad about it?

Crunch Chicken is .... different. (It's chicken breaded with Cap'n Crunch) Nothing to write home about.
Planet Hollywood is more about the film and TV show props and less about the food. I found it noisy with poor service, passable food, and high prices.
It would make a better museum than a restaruant.

The crunch chicken is good. For me though, PH was another entry in the "Try It Once for the Experience" category of WDW restaurants...
I loved Trails End. I also eat like a fat kid though. The ribs were good and I loved the soup... I eat tons of soup.
2.) How much of a show does your waitress put on at 50's Prime Time Cafe? Is it too much or very subtle? We're not the ones to be put in the center of attention (we avoid Whispering Canyon at all costs)
I just remember that they kept trying to feed my dad his veggies. hahaha I've heard from others though that if you tell the hostess or waitress that you just want to eat and not be messed with that they usually won't do too much. IMO though, the food isn't good enough to go there just for that and not for the atmosphere.
4.) What's better? Front row, up close and personal tank view at Coral Reef- or tiered view so you can see the whole tank?
We always like up close... the tank is HUGE so you can pretty much see everything anyway.
5.) Can I order the chocolate wave at Coral Reef as an underaged? Yes
7.) What, in your opinion, is the most bang for your buck with 1 dining credit? (pref. dinner only)
Le Cellier
Yak & Yeti
Trails End Buffet - in Fort Wilderness... all you can eat. We loved it because of the soup and fried chicken and ribs.
We've only gone to 50's once. I was sick at the time, and picked off my husbands plate and the waitress made a big deal out of it, scolding me for not ordering my own food and kept going on and on about it.
The whole thing turned me against the restaurant. Would like to try it again, but the memory won't go away......it was about 9 years ago, you'd think I'd get over it by now.

Thank you for the questions and times about Remy.
Just changed one of our ADR's (was Teppan Edo), for LCDF. We just watched the movie last night and I commented that it would be great if they had him at the resturant. :ROFLOL:
The two times I've been there, I found it overly noisy, to the point you really couldn't have any kind of conversation with others at your table, and the service and food just isn't good enough to warrant going through with everything. I also prefer park dining while I'm down there, with hotels near parks being a close second.
Good point, but park dining and even a lot of hotel restaurants can be expensive :lookaroun
We just always do the DDP now, so everything's paid up in advance, and if we didn't do it, we'd just go all CS with possibly 1-3 TS, and not go for the more expensive dishes. I really think you can find most of what Planet Hollywood offers for a similar price at many of the TS locations Disney has, but I may be wrong on that. (And on a quick check, it does appear that PH's prices are fairly similar to something like the Sci-Fi Diner) If I were going for a DTD theme restaurant, I think I would go with T-Rex or Rainforest. They seem to offer the same kind of items, and I couldn't imagine them having the same level of faults a PH, plus you can do the RF at AK too.

3.) Chef Mickey's/Crystal Palace- how many characters do you come by and do they all mess with you or just take pictures? Related to question 2 about the center of attention...:lookaroun we're not character people- but we can put up with it if it means a great meal

Those are expensive too and we are really sick of T-Rex and just did RFC.:lol:
