Value resort TVs

Does anyone know if the resorts get Comedy Central? A show we want to see is premiering the night we're arriving there =\

Also, do they have the A/V jacks on them so we can hook up a portable DVD player or mp3 player and watch them on the TV?

Thank you!

I don't believe they have Comedy Central.

I know the TV's at Wilderness Lodge has AV jacks. Used them several times last year.

The TV lineup in the Disney resorts is severely limited. Local channels, Disney Channel, Toon Disney, ESPN, MAYBE some news channels like CNN (though I honestly don't recall), and channels that exclusively feature WDW-related programming (Top 7 Things To Do in WDW, a DVC channel, stuff like that). And then they loop it over on other channels in Spanish. I don't think they have much of anything else, not even Cartoon Network (owned by AOL TIme Warner aka those rat finks whut own(ed) Six Flags). Certainly no pay channels, no MTV, no VH1.

I don't know about value resorts, but the mods & deluxes and DVCs all seem to have TVs with front A/V jacks, which not only makes it easy to plug in a portable DVD player, but also an mp3 player (if you'd like some mood music) or a portable video game with an AV output.

You might want to contact your cable company and see if they have DVRs to rent. Their own version of a Tivo. Probably would cost you 10 bucks a month, but maybe you can just get it for one month, record all the shows you'll miss when you're away, including that new show from that godawful Sarah Silverman,* watch the stuff you missed, and then return it. Unless you like it and want to keep it.

*was I right? If I was, just kidding. If I'm wrong, my God, she's awful isn't she?**

** Actually, I don't mind her much, but I know she really rubs some people the wrong way.

Haha, I was actually wondering because of the Sarah Silverman show. We LOVE her. :o My boyfriend's parents have TiVo and will be happy to record it for us, we were just hoping to catch it on premiere night. Then realized... we won't be in the state... oops.

But yes, we can most likely live with DVDs and my video/mp3 player. -sigh-

They give you minmal selections becuase they want you to spend your time outside of the hotel room. As long as I have ESPN I am happy. I mean I can watch the same episodes of Sportscenter every hour on the hour in the AM ...lol

Does anyone know if they finished upgrading the TV's at All Star Movies to
25 inch sets yet? I believe they were slowly doing away with the old 19 inchers, and installing new sets. I know Pop opened with all 25 inch sets.:)

We used it to watch the Weather Channel to see what type of weather day it was going to be and to feel good about the weather we were in and how miserable it was back in Massachusetts weather wise that week. :D
