Valet Joy Riding at the GF?

It certainly is possible that there's an innocent explanation for all of this. But I'm coming down on the woman's side for now. First of all, not being able to locate the care for so long, then not calling when they did locate it, and then lying about the keys?

And although memory is a fuzzy thing, a parent does not forget whether the carseat is latched or not.

If I had to venture to guess, the carseat was unlatched before the car was even valeted. They probably turned the movie off (a lot of times its a courtesy to the party so they can resume the film/cd where they left off).

The other option is that valets usually will drive a recently valeted car to the lot (rather than walking), in order to park that car, then get a car for a guest who is waiting to pick their vehicle up. Sometimes, two people will ride in one car out to the valet lot to save time, this way they can expedite bringing two cars up to waiting guests. I'd guess it was a combination of these factors that ultimately led up to this confusion.

Also, envelope issues are pretty common, especially during busy times.

THIS is what starts happening when an outside company tales over valet at resorts property-wide. Don't blame Disney, blame C.A.R.S., the same people that handle your Magical Express baggage (B.A.G.S.). If we had our choice it would all be handled in-house again.

To me it is just not worth saving 2 minutes of walking to hand my keys over to anyone. I have had free valet through DDE for years and have not once opted to use it.

Had a similar experience a couple years ago,but in my case it was while having one of our cars repaired.I dropped off my Mustang to have the clutch replaced,{To explain,It is a highly modified Mustang Cobra with about 800 h.p.} and the transmission shop told me they would try to have it finished that afternoon.Later that day the man called me and said it would not be ready till the following day,as they were waiting on a part.No problem I figured as they said they would leave the car on the lift and locked up overnight. That evening I get a call from the Sheriff. The deputy asks do I know "so and so" and does he have permission to drive my car.I reply "I do not, my car is suppose to be at @@^^ ( 0 being fixed, and where is my car"? He then tells me they pulled my car over for street racing, and when they asked for license and registration the names did not match.Since the keys were also in the car, they asked the driver if the registered owner knew he had the car,to which he replied "Yes". He then told me where to come to get my car,and see if I might recognize who the driver was. When my wife and I got there,we did infact recognize the guy as he was the man I had dropped my car off to from the transmission shop. The next morning I went to the business with the Deputy to confront the manager. The manager of course said it was not there fault and would not be liable for any damages if there had been any. Then to top it off he proceeds to hand me the bill for the repair!!! Needless to say I told him where to put the bill, and as this was a "Nationwide chain" I wanted the corporate number.I then called them right there asked for a supervisor and explained what happened, and what I felt the store could do with the bill. They apologized, and told me I would not have to pay the bill, and asked to hand my phone to the manager,to which they read the riot act to and told him to tear up the bill. I was pleasently surprised when a couple of days later,I got a letter in the mail from the corporate office, apologizing again for what happened, and that they would service and repair my car for free as long as I owned the car. :D

I bought it new in 98 and it has only been driven by my wife once, a friend a few times, and me. I dad ALL the work myself, engine, body, sound, upholstery. I even had the tires mounted to the rims while I stood guard and made sure to pit them on myself. I worked for an unamed car dealership in the past, I know what they do to a car.

I even busted a mechanic in the past chirping all gears in my old Camaro as I drove past him. But it was OK because he was testing and adjusting the two speed and I built the engine to take much more than what he was giving it.

I hope he and the staff member lost their jobs

Unfortunately the manager and asst. manager were not fired. This was even after the investigation found out that the only ones who had keys to the store were the 2 managers. They also originally, when 1st questioned, stated the car was left inside when the store closed the previous evening, and he must have left a door unlocked, came back after they left, and then planned on returning the car before anyone came in the next morning. But then when asked how he could have done that when the store had an alarm system. They said, well maybe he took it and they didn't realize it.The service advisor however was fired,as well as being charged with grand theft auto,he also got his girlfriend who was with him charged for the same..HAHAHA!!:D

I came home from work the other night and found the neighbor kids playing in my yard while their Mom was standing there helping them line up their ball properly...after I already went over there a couple months ago and politely requested that she not let her kids play on my yard. That was pretty minor as well inasmuch as they weren't vandalizing or roughhousing or anything like that. But again, it was the whole principle of the thing that rubbed me the wrong way. This is MY yard, my personal space, my "territory" if you will. And I don't appreciate coming home and finding other people using my yard as their playground. I regard it as a violation of my territory and I take it as a personal disrespect that people would have that little regard for my property as to stand there and watch while their kids play on my yard without my knowledge or permission.
