vacation report

HAY GUYS JUST CAME BACK YESTERDAY... CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS...........IT SEEMS LITTLE RUMORS I HEARD HEAR AND THERE WE'RE A BUNCH OF BS...SORRY BUT THEY WERE.. THE CRANE BEING IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE....THEY HAVE IT HIDDEN IN SUCH A WAY.. IN BACK OF THE CASTLE THAT IT REALLY IS'NT THAT OBVIOUS IN PICS.... I ALSO HEARD THAT THEY HAD CLOSED OFF THE ENTRANCE THROUGH THE CASTLE..NOT SO.. WENT THROUGH THAT WAY OR AROUND IT....THERE WE NO PLATFORMS AROUND....WHICH I HAD READ ....ALSO....I HAD HEARD THAT PORT ORLEANS POOL WAS CLOSED.........FOR REHABS........SWAM IN IT THE OTHER NITE.....ATTENDANCE WAS VERY LOW.BUT THATS WHY WE GO THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.....ALSO THE CHARACTER CARAVAN..........THATS AN IDIOTIC THING........YOU SEE 2 CHARACTERS THAT COME TO THE RESORT............WE DID SEE A LOT MORE THOUGH AT THE PARKS......KINDA REMINDED ME HOW IT USE TO BE AT THE PARKS........MY DAUGHTER LOVED IT....THE CHARACTER BREAKFAST AT CHEF MICKEYS WAS CUTE.......BIT OVERRATED THOUGH.........I THINK MICKEY IS A LITTLE STUCK ON HIMSELF...LOL........ HE NEVER STAYED LONG AT THE TABLES.........BUT ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS DID......IT WAS MY DAUGHERS 2ND BDAY.....THEY SANG A CUTE SONG DID A NAPKIN DANCE...........MY DAUGHTER GOT A CUPCAKE WITH A CANDLE........VERY CUTE BUT VERY OVERRATED.........MY DAUGHTER ENJOYED THE PRINCESS'S MORE THAN ANYTHING....THEY WERE SO GOOD WITH HER........WE WENT TO SEE CINNDERELLA THE FIRST DAY,,,,, SHE WAS THE BEST ...WE TRIED EVERY DAY AFTER THAT TO GET THE SAME ONE..........NEVER REALIZED HOW MANY CINNDERELLA'S THERE WERE....LOL GREAT WEATHER......RAIN HERE AND THERE BUT NOTHING TERRIBLE..........MY DAUGTER DID GREAT ON THE AIRPLANE..........WE DID'NT BUY HER A SEAT...CUZ WE FIGURED SHE WOULD NEVER SIT IN IT........BEING JUST A FEW DAYS SHY OF 2 WE FIGURED WE SAVE THE MONEY.........DID WE LUCK OUT........BOTH WAYS ON THE PLANE WE HAD A SEAT IN BETWEEN US..THANK GOD...........SHE WOULD NEVER HAD SAT ON OUR LAPS..........ALSO IN ORLANDO...YOU CAN RENT DVD PLAYERS....AND SEND THEM BACK.........ALL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE ABOUT 40.00 SO WORTH IT WE WATCHED SNOW WHITE ON THE WAY HOME.........IT HELPED SOO MUCH..... MY DAUGHTER ONLY FUSSED WE WE WERE GOING DOWN...CUZ OF THE PRESSURE. IN HER EARS.........ALL IN ALL...........IT WAS A GREAT VACTION.........GREAT RESORT ( OUR 5 TH TIME AT PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE. iT'LL ALWAYS BE DIXIE LANDINGS TO US..LOL)..PLANS TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR....HAY IF ANYBODY HAS AND QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO POST ME............. OH PS THE PARADE.. IS OK I MISS THE REMEMBER THE MAGIC PARADE.. I REALLY HOPE THEY ARE'NT KEEPING THE SHARE A DREAM PAREDE IT WAS NICE BUT I THINK I EXPECTED IT TO BE SO MUCH MORE MAGICAL THAN THE MAGICAL MOMENTS PAREDE.....IT WAS OK........PUT IT THIS WASY WE USUALLY SEE THE PARAED EVERYDAY..NO MATTER WHAT WHEN WE ARE IN DISNEY....THIS TIME WE DID.NT REALLY CARE EITHER WAY........WE SEEN IT ONCE....WHICH WAS ENOUGH........BUT MY DAUGHTER LOVED IT WHICH IS WHAT MATTERS.......BUT THATS JUST MY OPINION.........OK IM DONE....LOL:sohappy:

I think what everyone is trying to say is you may want to break the longest run on sentence in the world into paragraphs and use capital letters as they were intended to be used. FYI when one writes in capital letters it's read as 'yelling'.

Thanks for the report. I couldn't agree more about the character breakfasts...the kids love the characters but the breakfast it self usually leaves something to be desired.

I am very glad for trip report. I don't care what form you submitted it in. You aren't being graded.

We leave at 6 am Saturday and it helps to hear about the crowds, etc. We have never been in September...always March or the summer. I am assuming we won't have to wait long for anything. Will wel even need fast passes? I quess MK will be the most crowded park. We have never stayed in WDW before and I am hoping for a magical time at the AK.

I made our reservations not realizing it was only 3 days after 9/11....but I think it will be okay.

thanks for being so sincere..lol.. when we went down we had asked at different rides about the child swap and fast passes...many places had neither because there were no lines( well the fast passes were available but useless because of there being no lines) animal kingdom we rode the rapid river ride 3 times in a row without getting off ......pretty cool!!! we had talked to different cast members and they said attentance is low anyway at this time of the year but with 9/11 it has gotten even lower.....hay bonus for us...lol
ps... thanks to everyone else who appreciated my post and for those that did'nt,I did'nt realize that there were certain guidelines or rules of writing i was supposed to follow.....except no swearing....

It will be just me, my husband and son but since we have never stayed in Disney before I was so excited I couldn't sleep last night. I am going on 3 hours sleep and I have to get up at 5 am to go to work tomorrow.

Funny story...when I first started working at a place with email I emailed my new boss and used all caps. I didn't know that was like shouting until a peer told me. I figure we aren't on the job talking on this message board and what is important here is just getting the info out.

Don´t get mad... those of us who use messsengers very frequently, know that when you write everything in capital letters, it reads as yelling, that´s why they told you that, but I´m sure the persons who said it, realize that you were not yelling, and also if you break the long paragraph into at least two, it reads a lot easier.
I just stared at your post trying to not get lost into it or I would have to start over again! I in fact got lost on the plane section and took me a few seconds to find it again. :animwink: A huge difference with your third post! thanks!

i have'nt see such rude people in all my life. I figured gee i'll write a post to let everyone know how my vacation went, but I guess I was wrong! I have written on other web sites and never encounted such rudeness. I guess i did'nt read all the all the fine print that stated I would be corrected for my grammer and way of writing. I guess i did'nt realize that people had nothing else better to do than to correct people.:brick:

There is no reason to get rude since most of us weren't rude to you. We politely told you what would make your posts easier to read. This way it makes it easier for everyone to see what you are saying. I thought your trip report was fine, just hard to read.

I'm gonna ________ everyone off...but when people say to me "Now don't take this the wrong way" OR "I don't want to be mean, but..." I usally take get deffensive at that point, because I know i'm getting ready to be insulted.

I have an idea though...if anyone cares to read it. Maybe if any of you want to correct someone, why not help save face for them and pm them to tell them what they did wrong. I hate being made to feel like I'm an idiot in front of everyone here, which I am, lol but I still don't want everyone else to know it :animwink: So I assume others feel this way also.

I don't think it's really a need-to-be discreet situation. I think it's more a matter of overkill, not on Dixiegirl's part, but on the rest of darned near everyone else who posted.

Dixiegirl IS NOT the first person on these boards who had done the all-caps thing and she certainly won't be the last. The first few people who nicely attempted to advise her on this stylistic error earn the brownie points. The remainder are just playing, "me too."

And she abruptly corrected this minor (at best) annoyance once it was pointed out to her. In other words, please notice that she isn't doing all caps anymore and hasn't been for several posts.

But I think we need to :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: her for chiming in with a nice report and update about our collective favorite place to visit, which is what she was intending to do.

So again I say, thank you Dixiegirl for the nice report.
