Vacation Packages -where to find best ones?

We don't own a condo or other property around Disney and have always stayed off-site simply to save money. I was just curious if anyone was aware of good vacation deals out there (and more specifically where to find) where accommodations are within the Disney resorts? He's the practical one, I'm the one who wants to stay closer to the resort and enjoy the amenities offered there. Thanks for any input.

I'm a little impartial but I would book at AAA. Even if you're not a member, you can atleast get a quote. Then ask for a quote with an AAA membership. AAA is a preferred supplier of Disney and has a lot of extras that you can get with just one booking. Expedia and Orbitz will have pkgs too, but I would never want to go on vacation without knowing exactly who I can contact in a situation (i.e. lost luggage, cancelled flight, lost tickets, etc.). At the very least you will have a starting off point as far as budget goes...

You should check with Pam, Maria (WannabeBelle), or Jamie at Kingdom Konsultants. All 3 are members here on the boards, and they come highly recommended!

Tink, I am with you. A membership (AAA) for $40 is well worth the savings. I dont think I will ever book with anyone else! Unless of course we join the Disney Vacation Club which I am really leaning towards doing.

Your paper's travel section is a great place to look. This summer i found a deal where we got 4 adults to go (on the mealplan) for $1600. That deal is very unlikly to come back any time soon but Ive seen others similar to it, better than ones that have been offered in other places (such as the $1500 for a family of 4 that doesnt include as much) I dont know if this is much help but its where i always find vacation deals.

We went to Disney World in 2005 and I used Mouse Ears Vacations www.mouseearvacations.com. This was my first time planning a vacation (much less to Disney World) on my own and their vacation specialists were WONDERFUL. This was also the first time I had dealt with any company that i had been referred to online. So I was a little nervous at first, but there was no reason to be. They are specialists in planning trips to Disney World. Pam Schuck and her son Chris helped me plan my vacation and even kept me up to date on any changes in vacation packages. They were prompt in replying to any questions I had and were always very nice to deal with.

I was so impressed that I am using them to plan our next vacation next year.

It depends on when you are going. Right now Disney does not have any available. What we usually do is when we have you booked and Diseny drops a pkg deal, we will automatically switch it over to reflect the savings as long as the availabilty is there.

We also will book a room only with the AAA discount and get you discounted park passes as an option if there isn't another discount available.

We also offer free itinerary planning which includes helping you to set up your dining reservations to help make your trip as stress free as possible.

All of our travel consultants are extremely familiar with Walt Disney World so no matter who you contact, you will be in good hands.

We do book for many WDWMagic members and have many recommendations from them.
