Vacation being planned

I am planning a trip from April 4 - April 11, 2009. There are 3 adults and a 12 year old. I have been exploring the most for the least amount of money. This is probably the last time for my mom to go and it is my sisters first time. I have always done the value resort in the past. I am looking into other options and would like some advice from anyone that has tried the other options. Right now I am looking at Pop Centry w/ dining, 8 day magic your way tickets and dining plan and have been quoted a price of around $2600.00. I am also checking into renting points and at Moderate Resort it looks like around $1600.00 with no tickets or dining. I looked into vacation rentals and can get a 2 bdrm, 2 ba for $5-650.00. No resort perks and no tickets. Any ideas?

Since that is around Easter(spring break)time I would definitely stay on property so as to be able to use Disney transportation and extra magic hours. The price for the off property place makes it very tempting, but I think the advantages of on property outweigh the cost savings. If everyone can be comfortable in a value, why not stay at one?

8-day hoppers for 4 are about $1200, so the Moderate will cost you $200 more plus dining. With 8-day base tickets, it's about the same price plus dining. The Moderate gives you a slightly bigger room, but not by much.

Off-site is giving up too much IMO, but lots of people do it. Factor in rental car and parking when pricing it.

I actually really liked Pop, my choice would be to book that.
