Wow. Just wow. Words can not describe.

DW and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary there last night and were blown away. Everything from top to bottom was ridiculously awesome. Yes, it is very expensive, and I know most of us out there can't afford something like this even once a year, but if you can save up for a special anniversary, birthday, etc, do it. It is worth it at least once in your lifetime.

That's my review, as I said, words can not describe.

It is a great dining experience, and in the context of truly fine dining, it's actually not that terribly expensive. Also, with the exception of the Chef's Table, they do take Tables in Wonderland, so you can almost pay for your annual membership with a single meal @ V&A.

I can't answer for scheat as to why their particular anniversary meal was so good, but in my experiences there:

Menu items you would not usually find elsewhere or try to make yourself;
The absolute finest ingredients available, with an effort to source locally;
Innovative preparations that use imagination and creativity to elevate the cuisine beyond just 'food';
A great atmosphere that transports you to a different 'age' of dining and entertainment;
Really special service and individualized attention. On my very first visit there, I was greeted by name as I approached the check-in desk (I have still not figured out how for sure, but suspect information was relayed up to them by the valet);
'Treats' every time - whether it be monogrammed chocolates to take home, special cakes, 'surprise' courses, etc.

I would love to eat there but my husband is a picky eater. (no fish or shellfish for example)
I have heard that you can tell them ahead of time if you have any preferences...my husband and I are planning on eating at Victoria & Albert's on our next trip and are trying to think of a list of stuff we want them to leave off of our menu (i.e. fish, veal, mushrooms...). :)

I didn't know you could do that. Thanks!

I can confirm everything Sloan stated above. The doors opened as we approached and we were greeted by name(dont know how they did that.). The menus were personalized with our names, the date, and Happy Anniversary. The harpist was superb. My wife received roses and they acted like I had them delivered for her. Received a gift of some sort of fruited bread from the chef(haven't tried it yet.) When it was time to leave we were told our cab was ready for us. I guess I must have mentioned in casual conversation that we had arrived by cab. The cabbie somehow already knew we were going to POFQ.

Then, there was the meal itself. The wait staff knew the menu and what the chef was trying to accomplish with each course even though the menu changes daily. I think it was probably the merriment of flavors that impressed us the most. Avocado purée with lime jelly over lump crab, oxtail with cherry compote and smoked red pepper sauce, cucumber with cilantro, using a small amount of caviar to salt a crab purée, duck breast with a small amount powdered duck fat to be used on the breast if needed. The beef tenderloin literally melted in your mouth and was served with a wine reduction that had been reducing over 3 days. Mashed potatoes infused with smoked elephant garlic. The creme brûlée had a dusting of Madagascar vanilla bean on the bottom of the dish so each spoonful had just the right amount. The chocolate soufflé was perfectly light with just a slight bit of crisp on the outside.

That's the best I can do with the review. Best meal we have ever had and we have been to some very nice places. Would love to try the chefs table someday. Hopefully lots of anniversaries left to get that done.

Now that's dining! Disney at it's best is as good as it gets. Happy Anniversary! I feel for your DH. For your 25th, He is going to have to get a table on the moon, with a nice earth view.

Just curious, exactly how much does dinner usually cost there? I work in the industry and would love the chance to go here one day. The company I work for has several very expensive fine dining concepts and I am curious to see the comparison...

Being a vegetarian I know that when we go I can call ahead and they will have something completely amazing for me. Lord have mercy I can't wait.

Ya the menu sounds great! And the price is what I expected it to be...I would love to be able to go dine here one day but the DW is a bit of a picky eater, and I have a hard time getting her to go to some of our higher end restaurants. I know I could convince her to go one day, but our next Disney trip we r taking, we are on a very tight budget so we won't be going any time soon :(

We did the Chef's Table for our 10th anniversary a couple years ago. It was absolutely incredible. I don't do red meat and DW doesn't do most seafood and they met our needs quite nicely. Here's a photo album if you want to see pictures of each course.

Thank you for posting...everything looks incredible! Did they communicate with you ahead of time to get an idea of what you wanted to avoid, or did you just tell them when you got there? And would you recommend the Kobe beef even though it's an add-on?

Thanks! :)

When we made the reservations, they discussed any dietary needs. These were then confirmed with the chef when we arrived and he even discussed my wife's feelings about seafood and she decided to go ahead the try some of it.

Since we were paying for the Chef's Table, the Kobe beef was not any extra. My wife said it would be worth the extra, though!

We went for our 25th with are two daughters. place and food was amazing 3 hours of a foodies dream. The harpist even played Britney spears and insync which was very interesting. I love that they take TIW and they call for your car so it is at the front doors waiting to go.
