Using the WDW 2021 Military Discount? Better hurry!

Do you think this implies that ones for use after Sept. 2021 are not going to be sold? I know that I had some that I bought in July 2020, which expired September 26, 2021. They were still considered 2020 Salute tickets and it was believed that there would be a 2021 Salute offer put out also. I used these in December 2020. Sure hope they put out an offer for salute tickets that are good through December 17th 2021.

I agree, it would be nice if they offer a ticket that takes us past September. But we are at their mercies, and they have a lot bigger things to worry about than providing a military discount.

Even tho' there's been a spectacular discount every year I can remember, I'm not holding my breath.

At the ticket both, we were told they were relaxing limits on military tickets for next year. Even though we redeemed 4 6-day park hoppers on Dec 28th, they told us we could do 8 more in 2021. I suspect they will announce a new 2021/2022 deal in Sept.

Thank you! Unfortunately, Sept will likely be too late for a December visit, with park reservations and all. Are you referring to Salute tickets, or just military discounted tickets. Salute tickets are limited to 6 per year, unless they upped them since I bought mine in July of 2020.

They were referring to the salute tickets. Basically she told us they were expanding the six ticket limit due to COVID.

I reached out to the Shades of Green ticket office and below is the reply that I got. I am very curious to see if they do a 2021 Salute offer.

"Disney Promotion - At this time there is no word if there will be a 2021 promotion. Disney has an extended offer on the 2020 promotion. You may purchase up to 6 more Disney promotional tickets by 02/14/2021. These tickets are the same price as before and still expire on 09/26/2021. Please note if you purchase promotional tickets during the extended offer period 12/19/2020 - 02/14/2021 and Disney decides to have a 2021 offer this will count against you."

Sounds like a lot of ad hoc changes to policy that may come back you bite you. Not everyone at Disney is on the same page with this.

I think you are right! Since we are booked for December and really don't want to change, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that a 2021 offer comes out.

We are in the same boat - reservations at Ft Wilderness for Dec 5-11, but waiting on purchasing tickets hoping they will offer something past Sept 26. Since as of now we’re still required to make park reservations, it’s making me a little nervous!

I believe that the 2021 Salute tickets will be on sale beginning 15Feb. Below is something I found on the Military Disney Tips website.

"Walt Disney World Armed Forces Salute Ticket Discounts​

2021 ticket options:

Walt Disney World is offering 4-day and 5-day length tickets with the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus Options.

No Ticket Blockout Dates have been announced for Walt Disney World for the 2021 Salute Ticket offer period!

Disney World 2021 Armed Forces Salute Prices

  • Four-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $296.00
  • Four-Day Park Hopper Plus Tickets for $326.00
  • Five-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $315.00
  • Five-Day Park Hopper Plus Tickets for $345.00
Tickets valid for use through 17 December 2021. At midnight on the 17th they will no longer work for entry and lose all future value."
