Using southwest...still get gift card?

I am (hopefully) going to the World at the end of May. But I will probably book it thru Southwest because I found them to give the best price for room and flight. I will be staying at Pop. I then will buy my Tixs at AAA a few days before the trip and will add the dining option later. Me and my friend are broke college students lol therefore this seems the best way to book things. But I was wondering would we still get the gift card when we check in at Pop. It would definitely come in handy! Thanks in advance!:)

Doubtful. The Gift Card promotion is based on purchasing a MYW package, which must include a minimum 5-night stay and 5-day park ticket.

Hey, re-check the packages cause I was looking at Southwest today to see how much it would cost to fly as opposed to drive and their vacation packages are showing the Gift Cards

Well, you have 2 different problems here, I'm sorry to say.

One has already been explained ... the gift card is part of a promotion for Disney resort PACKAGES ... a package is defined as a bundled purchase of room + tickets. If you book a room and then at a different time buy tickets through AAA, this is NOT a package. The gift card is a perk ONLY of booking a PACKAGE.

The other problem I have to point out is when you say "will add the dining option later." Sorry to say, but no, you won't add the dining option later. The Disney Dining Plan is available ONLY as part of a package. As noted above, a package is a bundled, all-at-one-time purchase of room + tickets. The Disney Dining Plan absolutely CANNOT be purchased as an a la carte option ... it's either part of a package reservation, or you don't get it. It's that simple, and it's that strict.

In other words, it won't do any good to call Disney and say something like "Well, I have my room-only reservation, and I have my tickets I bought through AAA, so it's sort of like I have a package, so please please please will you let me add the Disney Dining Plan???" Don't bother, it just doesn't work that way. Sorry ....
