Using apple pay at resorts?

Looking to use the apple pay only on the trip, including check out. Marriott and Swan/Dolphin have this set up at checkout. Do the wdw resorts have it set up at registration as well?

Yes WDW has been using ApplePay for a while now (since late last year I believe) in the parks etc, but not sure if at the Resorts how it works or if you can use it at the resorts. Someone else may be able to chime in on this that may have used it. I have not yet because our trip last year was right before they rolled it out at WDW.

We used it all over the place last week. Now, if you are talking about linking to your room account, that requires a credit card. If you are talking about paying at the resort gift shops, then yes, all Disney POS terminals accept Apple Pay now. Very convenient and very fast. We never asked about using it at the restaurants, so not sure if it would work with those mobile payment terminals that read your magic band.

Thanks for clarifying Goof! I figured most likely you have to still use a regular credit card for the room etc but did not want to tell them the wrong thing. All stores in resorts and the rest of WDW I knew for certain did from news in here etc but didn't know about dining or the resorts for certain. Will probably try it out ourselves as well on our trip starting next week.

Thanks! I was looking to pay my hotel bill with apple pay, we have a room only reservation. I do not want a room charge as I prefer to use apple pay in the parks. I kind of figured the gift shops/restuarants had it set up, but was not sure about registration. I do wonder if it works with the magic band reader thing for sit downs? They do promote they have it so curious. I tried calling but the wait was 25 minutes. Crazy

FWIW I am trying to use the Discover/apple pay promo which would require me to pay with apple pay and not a physical credit card.
