Use of eCigs

Not always true. Some e-vape users brew their own liquids with different flavors and smells and content.
I didn't mean to imply that they weren't scented and am sorry if it came out sounding that way. What I meant was that the smell doesn't carry. One guy even was willing to let me smell the stuff and I couldn't, even up close. He gave me the thing itself so that I could hold it right up to my nose.

It's really hard to smell it. Maybe it would be easier to smell inside?

Anyway, people don't have to worry about smelling those scents from any distance. You really have to work at it to smell them. I'd much rather be in an elevator with one of these than with an older lady wearing perfume.

There really isn't a problem with these things. They're everyone's dream come true. Win-win!

Never smoked, never will. However I believe some peoples attitude toward smoking is driven by the desire to enforce their view point on others.
Youd think a society able to engineer ventilation that allows working with toxins and processes infinitely more dangerous than smoke to come up with a solution to create smoking areas within buildings that caters for both.

I know I wouldn't want my kids to see a car driving by and thinking it was okay...

After all, those emissions are almost PURE CO2!

LOL... :D

Wrong - Cars emit CO (Carbon Monoxide) which is actually fatal to humans. Hence, people dying in closed garages. CO2 - Carbon Dioxide is what people breathe out...and plants breathe in. Science lesson is over...have a nice recess.

Incorrect. Exhaust from a gas engine is around 71% Nitrogen, 14% Carbon Dioxide, 12% water along with a few other trace elements. Carbon monoxide is one of those trace elements making up around 1%-2%. It is still enough to kill you if you breath it directly, but it is not the only thing to come out of car exhaust and it is most certainly not the majority compound in car exhaust.

Not all E cigs are equal. Some they have found out do have chemicals that may or may not be harmful. There has also been E cigs that have exploded mostly while being charged. E cigs are great for helping people get off cigs but based upon what I heard and read today not all e cigs are created equal.

First of all, CONGRATS!!!! I am too a quitter, it's been two years for me. I can't stand the smell of cigarettes -at all- and get sick from it now. :) The cravings (if you have any) will go away. Congrats again.

Regarding the e-cigs, I think they should be limited to smoking areas.

I'm sorry, but I don't want to smell your cigarettes, nor do I wanna be breathing in your funky spit mouth-fumes. Gross.

...HAHAHAHA. You sir, made my day.
WHAT?....Spit mouth fumes? What the hell are Spit mouth fumes? I'm sorry but as an ex smoker and a current E Cig user I'm pretty offended by this remark. You need to do your homework before you make a statement like this. E cigs and real cigarettes are so differant that you can't even begin to compare the two. So until you begin to understand the differance...which you obviously don't...you need to back off, grow up, and do some research about the subject.

Im very sensitive to anny kindof of smoke. I just can't be around it. It makes me extremely sick. Its the same with e cigs. iys not necessarily the smoke with them. I can smell it though. Every ecig I have been around I can smell, now there are probably sone I couldn't. I just haven't been around any. I for one just hope anyone smoking or using a e cig would be polite enough to use the smoking areas. its my right as a none smoker to not have to smell it or be around it. It is also a smokers right to smoke. Its common sense and common courtesy to be polite to others. I know I'm not a smoker but I really find it hard to believe a smoker couldn't hold off until they find a smoking area.

I think e-cigs should not bother people regardless of the image they present. As long as nobody is smoking indoors, I honestly see no point in limiting e-cig use. Also, if someone could clarify, how do e-cigs trigger allergies for non-smokers? Is this a placebo effect or is there a legitimate claim?

I think because the vapor has made contact with the inside of the mouth. I just started E-cigging this week. What a change . You don't have to smoke the whole thing like a cigarette .
