...I sometimes get confused about whether or not I'm watching Olympic hockey or the NHL...teams worldwide are loaded with NHL players...

...as much as i like seeing our teams loaded with professional players and playing NHL or NBA class games, I yearn for the day when they return to the non-professional athletes...something I doubt i will see in my lifetime.

...anyone who witnessed the USA kids beat the Soviet Union in hockey in 1980 at Lake Placid can still feel the pride of that Sunday morning...

...anyone who witnessed the "Dream Team" run away with the basketball Gold in Barcelona in '92, shrugs their shoulders and pretty much can't muster an ounce of pride.

I hate Pro's in basketball, but I think it is GREAT in hockey. Four years ago when the Czec. team when the gold it was great! Hasek proved why he is the best goalie in the world! The great thing about hockey is that the teams are so balanced. Nobody would have thought that Canada would have lost 5-2 to Sweden, but with the wide open ice in International play it is anybody's game. Plus, John Leclair had a hat trick last night - which is just great. USA gold medal Winners! FLYERS Stanley Cups winners!
