Me and my best friend are staying in Caribbean Beach Resort for 18 nights from 7th - 24th November and we've realised we sort of rushed into it all and we were wondering about changing resorts! How easy is it to change resorts? We were thinking of changing to Port Orleans or Animal Kingdom lodge

Thanks

Its very easy. If you booked through Disney, just call and they can take care of it for you. If you used a travel agent, they will have to make the change for you. No problem to switch resorts.

Should be easy enough with the cost being similar if you switch to Port Orleans, but likely be more expensive switching to AKL. I don't know if this appeals to you but you could spend some of the days at one resort, and the rest at another. This way you get to see what the different resorts offer. Another thing is that if you end of eating a lot meals where your are staying, you would get some different places to eat the second half of the trip. Have a great time as this a great time to visit.

POR is my favorite resort, but I’ve also enjoyed splitting my stay between two resorts as @bigorangeandy suggested. In that your trip is planned for November, be sure to watch for a winter discount special. Last year this special offer was released to the general public in late August or early September. To take advantage of these discounts for a previously booked reservation, follow the same suggestions made above on how to make a change. If you’re using a travel agent, they should be monitoring this for you.

Last year DH and I stayed at POR for 18 nights. This is our favorite hotel. This time we stayed in Alligator Bayou, the year before was Magnolia Terrace. You cannot go wrong in this resort. It is beautiful, quiet, relaxing all one could want on a vacation. We have done Wilderness Lodge twice, the Contemporary, among others and this I'd defininitly our favorite!

This far out, no problems at all. The biggest problem will be if there are no rooms available at the other resort, but unless you are shooting for a specific room discount it should be fine. Within 45 days you may be charged a change fee if the new reservation costs less than the original reservation.
