Upgrade to AP

Sorry if this has been asked before as I am still a bit confused regarding the option to upgrade to APs. I know that you can upgrade to an AP after entering the park with a "normal" ticket by paying the difference at Guest Services. Does this apply for any normal ticket? For instance if I do a package with a resort and a ticket can I upgrade this ticket? What if I buy a discounted multi-day ticket from somewhere that's not Disney? Also, will the AP anniversary date be the date I purchased the original ticket or the day I upgraded? Thanks, all!

As long as the ticket still has remaining days, it doesn't matter when you do the upgrade.

My post was answering the question right above it about when the expiration date will be. I agree that it doesn't matter when you upgrade, as long as there are remaining days left on the tickets and it is still valid!

You are correct. Tickets must be upgraded within 14 days of first use. I was replying to someone's comment that it should be done on the first day that the ticket is used and I was lazy in my answer.

Just to clarify in case it confuses anyone- this is correct. You do NOT have to upgrade on the first day you use the tickets. My answer above was for a different question.
