Upgrade of censor

I really do wish there was something that could be done about our censor.

There are times when a perfectly innocent thread takes on a whole new light because certain words are ____'ed. (like ________ Tracy, magna ______ laude, tr__________g) You would of normally read right through the word without a thought, but since it has been blanked you automatically think about the word and it's other connotation.

So, in reality the censor is making innocent threads into dirty threads.

I've poked around at vBulletin.com forums and have seen several threads about similar issues, and there are workarounds.

It very rarely happens, and isnt usually much of a problem. It's a shame censors are needed in the first place.

With D!ck Cook's resignation, there is now a plethora of "________ Cook resigns" threads.

All the blank does is make one think about a perfectly normal name having another connotation if one has a dirty mind.

Why bring this into a Disney forum ?

It makes every D!ck Cook thread a dirty thread when it doesn't have to be.
