In a previous thread, I noted that Viking has suspended all operations:

It has become impossible to provide your clients with the experience that they deserve and expect from Viking, during these challenging times.

Because of travel limitations and changes that are evolving daily, we are choosing to temporarily suspend operation of all river and ocean vessels embarking March 12—April 30, 2020 at which time we believe Viking will be in a better place to provide the experiences our guests expect and deserve.

Princess has now also suspended operations for 60 days: https://www.princess.com/news/notices_and_advisories/notices/global-ship-operations-pause.html

In proactive response to the unpredictable circumstances evolving from the global spread of COVID-19 and in an abundance of caution, Princess Cruises announced that it will voluntarily pause global operations of its 18 cruise ships for two months (60 days), impacting voyages departing March 12 to May 10.

I'll keep this updated as I hear news. I really thought it wouldn't come to this. But now I think this is just the beginning. :(

Celestyal Cruises are shut down until May 1

At Celestyal Cruises, we are taking preventative measures and suspending cruise operations until May 1, 2020. This action is as a result of the unavoidable circumstances arising out of the continued spread of COVID-19 and increased government advisories and restrictions from all over the world prohibiting guests from leaving and re-entering their home countries.

With an increasing number of temporary closures to cruise ports for select nationals, major attractions and some countries imposing restrictions on public gatherings and visitors, a destination rich company such as Celestyal Cruises is prevented from delivering the promised experience at this time.

Not surprisingly, Adventures by Disney follows suit:

In an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our Guests and Guides, Adventures by Disney has decided to suspend new departures through the end of March, excluding the Australia adventure, departing March 15 that will continue as scheduled.

And to no one's surprise, Royal: https://presscenter.rclcorporate.co...n-announces-voluntary-suspension-of-cruising/

Today Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD. announced that it is suspending cruising in the United States for 30 days.

We understand the gravity of the public health crisis confronting the country. And this is our part to play. So, beginning at midnight tonight, we are pausing the fleet’s US sailings for 30 days.

We are reaching out to our guests to help them work through this disruption to their vacations, and we are truly sorry for their inconvenience. We are also communicating with our crew to work out the issues this decision presents for them. We know this adds great stress to our guests, employees and crew, and we are working to minimize the disruption.

Cruises that depart US ports before midnight tonight and international cruises will operate their scheduled itineraries. US ships already at sea will finish their itineraries as planned.

I just got the notice from MSC. They're suspending North American sailings.

Given the evolving situation, we will stop operations of our ships sailing from Miami to the Caribbean with departures from March 14th through April 30th.
This was a decision that was not taken lightly; however, the health and safety of our guests and crew members is our top priority. In addition, we understand that your clients look forward to their cruise vacations and with the uncertainty that surrounds COVID-19 may be reluctant to travel in the short term. We want to make sure that all our guests are able to enjoy their cruise experience to the fullest.

Now if you want to see some cruise crazed people who are loved go to the cruise board on another site I probably can't name. They are going off.

And yesterday, Carnival, too.

Carnival Cruise Line is temporarily pausing service effective with sailings departing Saturday, March 14 through April 09, 2020 across its fleet of North America based ships. We will resume service on April 10. COVID-19 has now turned into a global pandemic and we are committed to doing our part to support public officials in their efforts to manage and contain this unprecedented public health situation.

UPDATE - March 14, 2020: Disney Cruise Line to suspend all new departures through and including April 12, update on sailings departing from Canada
In an abundance of caution, Disney Cruise Line will be suspending all new departures through and including April 12.

Disney Cruise Line
will offer guests and travel agents with clients sailing on these cruises the choice of a 125% cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date, or a full refund. If guests or clients select a future cruise credit and are not able to use it, they will be eligible for a refund up to the amount they paid in full. Standard prevailing rates will apply for future cruises.

Hey Gang, thanks for all of the "sad" likes. We have another cruise in July and we will obviously be getting our money back like many people across the parks and cruises. However, we all need to keep this in perspective. Most of us on here have been to the parks and cruises multiple times and will go again. There are several more who, while will receive a refund, may not have the actual opportunity to go again. Some may have had the right schedule to take off from work and may not later. Others may have had that last trip with their grandparents planned and cannot reschedule. There are worse things here that have and will happen.
Lets do our part by keeping our contacts to a minimum and washing our hands. Go on Amazon and order single serve cereals or single cup pastas and get them to a food bank or school food bank. Since schools are closed many children will have a hard time getting their free two meals per day. Volunteer to get those meals to them. My county is allowing a personless pick up of food and drop and go to that child's door. There will be zero contact involved. I'm still washing my hands after. Either way, take care of one another and be smart.
