My entire family, all 23 of us are taking a vacation to southern california in july. We are spending one day at the DLR and are going to both parks. I was wondering what our plan of attack should be for that day. We are going on a wednesday so we dont know what the crowds will be like. Any feedback would be great. We are doing the dinner at Wine Country Tratorria for the reserved WOC seats.

Edit: I know it may be hard with a group of 23. I have been to disneyland 1 time before but never with such a large group.

Break up into smaller groups. There's no way you'll get 23 people through what you want to accomplish. Set meeting points - for example, your dinner reservation at Wine Country.

Start the day at DCA at park opening to ride RSR and/or get Fastpasses. If you don't do this, you won't get on the ride without waiting 2+ hours.

When you're finished, head to DL and start hitting up biggies (get a FP for one, like Space Mountain or Indiana Jones) to get them out of the way. As lines start to creep up around 11am, you'll want to have already knocked out 4 or 5 big rides.

You then have flexibility to hit smaller stuff in either park, like other rides, shows like Mickey and the Magical Map or a parade. You're going to have to prioritize what you want to see in both parks, because there's no way you can do it all in one day.

Just curious, although I think I know the answer...

What do you think the crowds will be like for a trip Dec. 31, 2013- Jan. 6, 2014? Thanks.;)

As far as RSR goes, you need Fastpasses before 9:30 or go through the singles line. You will be separated, but you'll only wait 20 minutes.

Be aware, if any guests in your party have nut allergies, they may have issues at Wine Country Tratorria. I was told no to three different entrees, ordered one that I didn't like, and still had an issue. I definitely do not recommend it. Quick service food was better. If no members of your group have allergies, you'll be fine, but they have too many nuts back there. I've never had an issue at a Disney restaurant until I went there.
