Upcharge attractions. Would you pay to play?

I guess that fact that when my wife and I go to F&W we go to a bunch of extra charge lunches, dinners, and tastings means that we sort of already do so.

But then, I am getting something for my money in addition to the experience - namely food and drink.

If it was a charge for just the experience, that may be different But then, we go to WDW a LOT less than we used to anyway, partially due to the prices - we would rather spend that amount of money on other experiences.

Would you pay to play for "in-park" upcharge attractions? (Look away Bob Chapek. look away!)

With the current discussions of Escape Rooms, The new Play! Pavilion (or whatever it's called aka Free Playground Arcade) and the next iteration of the Epcot interactive game featuring Ducktales... I got to thinking about how these attractions could theoretically be based on a pay to play format. Would such a concept even be feasible for Disney or would that be asking too much from it's guests? Would you pay X amount of money to go on an upcharge attraction "within" WDW?

No. Never. Absolutely not. I'm offended by the very idea.

As you so clearly demonstrated with an "angry" emote.

I'm after a healthy debate not a desire or request to see more upcharge in the parks. I'm not advocating it... Perhaps you could elaborate on why this topic angers you instead of condemning me for asking your opinion.

On second thought, you made your opinion painfully clear. Thanks for contributing to the discussion.

You already do at the Shooting Gallery in MK and the Dino-land booths.

I'm not opposed to it if it means real prizes (or keeping the Shooting Gallery around).
Most of the time. I've seen CMs offer free play at the Shooting Gallery.

That said, OP's original question leads to the prospect of inevitable up-sells DURING rides and attractions.

Imagine riding HM when a sign lights up in your Doombuggy asking "Do you want to see the Hatbox Ghost? Place Mickey's Head Here. Your account will be charged $5. Must be at least 18 to order."
