Unused MYW Ticket

Hi all!

Wish I had thought to look for a message board like this BEFORE my trip!:brick:

Just got back from WDW. We bought 6-day base tickets through a friend of mine that works at ESPN. Well, at the last minute, my husband had a work conflict and couldn't join us. His ticket is sitting unused in the "travel" folder of my filing cabinet. No, it's not a no expiration ticket. Will it expire if it was never activated?

Nope... it could sit there for 20 years and still be good as long as it hasn't been used yet! Then it starts the 14 day expiration period on it's first use. :)

It will expire 14 days from first use. Since it was never used, it hasn't expired. Save it for next time!!

And welcome to the boards! Where in MA are you?

Only thing to keep in mind, it'll only be good for existing parks at time of purchase. Back in the 80's (MGM not yet built), I had a park hopper ticket with no expiration with extra days. Went back in the early 90's and could use it, but only for MK and EPCOT.

Thanks, all.

Weird, seems as though some of the responses disappeared...

I'm in Western Ma. Two hours to an airport makes traveling a much bigger deal than it used to be!

Okay, I know this is completely off topic, but where in W. MA are you that it takes two hours to get to an Airport? I live in SW CT and I could be in Boston in 3.5 hours. Can't you get to Bradley (Hartford/Springfield)? They have some decent prices to Orlando.

P.S. I'm not trying to be critical just want to offer an alternative that might help you get to the mouse a little easier.
